The hostel set the bar high for my first volunteer experience. Paul is an excellent manager, attentive to detail, and ensures volunteers feel included. He welcomed our input on improving guest experiences. He also made an effort to connect with us outside of work, whether at goodbye dinners or team outings. The 25-hour weekly schedule was fixed which I appreciated, and you got 1 free beginner surf lesson if you sold one to a guest. Additionally, I enjoyed having a private volunteer room. My 2-month stay was truly memorable, thanks to Paul, the dedicated team, and the wonderful guests I met.

The hostel was my first time volunteering and I can only recommend it. The hostel is well equipped and clean, we had clean rooms with four or two beds. Paul, the manager, was great: he led the team excellently, helped with problems and gave great recommendations about the island. The work was divided up very fairly and we always had the same shifts. The hostel is right on the water, perfect for surfing (learning). I was able to improve my Spanish there. I felt at home in the hostel and wish all future volunteers a great time like I had.

My experience at "the hostel" was exceptional. Located just meters from the beach, it was perfect for surfing daily! The hostel has a cat named Selma, the queen of the place. My tasks included cleaning and reception, with a 5-hour daily schedule, five days a week, allowing time to explore the island. The accommodation was comfortable, and while meals were not provided, cooking facilities were available. Interaction with the host and other volunteers was excellent, with great support from Paul, the manager. Highly recommended for its location, infrastructure, and welcoming atmosphere.

The hostel is so close to the beach, the vibe is chill and welcoming. It's a small hostel, which makes it easier to get to know the guests, in particular because you're free to organize any social event you like. Recommended :)

The hostel is right beside the beach with any facilities you would need close by. It was my first experience working in a hostel and it has definitely set the bar high for future experiences. It's a great place if you want to surf or if you're a beginner like me and want to learn! The staff and volunteers were all so lovely and I've made some great friends during my stay. I highly recommend this hostel to other people interested in volunteering.

It was one of the best adventures I ever had. It was also my first solo trip and first experience with worldpackers, but it's not the last one for sure! The work was fair and what they told me in advance, you work 5 days for 5 hours and have 2 days free. The shifts are sometimes busy, but always managable and everyone is super nice and ready to help. The hostel felt like home and the coworkers became my friends. You have a great surf spot literally 100 meters away and you can see the waves from the terrace! It's a dream 🥰 I would recommend the hostel for sure ☺️

I had a great time at the hostel. The location is perfect as it is right on the beach. The shifts are not bad and you have a lot of free time and flexibility. The hostel itself is also super nice and clean. I wish I could have stayed longer! ☀️

Volunteering at the hostel has truly been an amazing experience. It was my first time volunteering in a hostel and I can't wait to do it again. The manager and the rest of the team made me feel at home from the first day and always took time to answer all my questions. The work load is absolutely fair and there is always plenty of time to enjoy the island, surf and meet people. The hostel is a place I would have loved as a guest, so working there has been a true pleasure. Big bonus were the delicious avocados, fresh eggs and juicy papayas the owner brought from his Finca.

We are very happy that Lucie came to our hostel and volunteered. An extremely sociable, sweet and hard-working girl who is ready to help whenever needed. We are sorry that she is leaving because we rarely meet a volunteer like her. Dear Lucie, we wish you all the best and lots of luck in your further exploration of the world! :D Saludos!

I loved my time spent at the hostel! The hostel facilities are very nice (amazing rooftop to cook and chill) and is probably one of the nicer hostels to volunteer at in Las Palmas. It is right next to the surf break and is also a great place to volunteer if you want to learn how to surf! Staff is super welcoming and there is a strong family vibe in this hostel. Family dinners are a regular occurence. Only comment would be about the benefits, there is really only accommodation included. I strongly recommend. You wont want to leave! Thanks everybody at the hostel for the wonderful time.

The hours of work are as agreed and the accommodation and hostel facilities are quite good. I personally didn't really connect with the vibe of the hostel and the majority of the staff but I'm sure someone else would have a good experience there. Thanks to Arturo in particular for being so nice about my decision to leave early.
