Program Details

We are a small hostel started in 1999 by an American couple, Linda & Steve. This position involves working at reception, socializing with and planning events for our guests, and ensuring that all is running smoothly at the hostel when we are not present. A great candidate for this position is someone who is bilingual with hospitality experience and is also an extrovert, enjoying meeting and socializing with new people, rather than staying in their room or behind their screen when others are around. We're NOT a party hostel. Our vibe is chilled & relaxed, but we want guests to socialize, and you would play an important part in that.

Your accommodation is in a shared room with another volunteer of the same gender in a small studio basement apartment located next to the hostel. Meals are not included.

Activities & Shift

Reception, caretaking, hosting events and socializing with guests, being around for emergencies.

A detailed email is sent to interested applicants who we think will be a good fit. It explains in detail the duties, living conditions, and hours that need to be covered.
