The experience

The Recruitment Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring that our organization is recruiting suitably qualified volunteers and that they receive adequate information, training and support. These responsibilities involve local, national and international recruitment, using traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruitment ideas.


What you offer

20 hours of help per week

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 160 {daily: "Per day", weekly: "Per week", once: "One time"}

Description: Otra Cosa relies on donations from volunteers to fund operating activities. By asking each volunteer for a donation it makes it possible for us to keep our projects and services viable. Contribution rates vary according to the duration of the placement. For a two-month volunteer placement, for example, volunteers contribute £250. Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Free Parties: Get free entrance for the best parties in town.

Free Events: Get free entrance for the best events in town.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.


Requirements

Intermediate English or Intermediate Spanish

Over 18 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers


What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa


Program Details

You will also work with the field staff management team to offer the volunteers various key training and development opportunities relating to their placements.

Please note that all volunteer positions are also available as Internships. With this add-on you will receive an extra level of mentorship and where necessary all appropriate liaison with your academic institution to ensure compliance with internship placement requirements. Activities & Shift

● Updating recruitment platforms and University outreach.
● Answering applications and follows up by email.
● Following all recruitment protocol vis a vis timely follow ups of enquiries and responding to requests for information.
● Liaising with staff and coordinators to answer all queries from potential new volunteers.
● Conducting or assisting with Skype interviews of new candidates.
● Training & onboarding new volunteers which includes policies, procedures, corporate culture, in collaboration with the Volunteer Coordinator and Project Coordinator.
● Maintaining volunteer relationship with alumni
