One of the best experience I had in my life. the hostel is very beautiful place to be, with the best Italian owner Andrea. He is super, kind and helpful person. You can meet there so many travelers around the world and a lot of interesting people. You will totally fall in love with nearby cities and beaches with amazing views. Work was not hard, Exactly what is described beforehand. I would recommend everyone this trip and I hope I will be there again soon. Thank you Andrea… and to the people and staff I met there❤️❤️❤️

The hostel was my first experience volunteering, and I feel that I couldn't have started better. The hostel is super cozy, staff and Andrea are amazing, always ready to help and have fun with you. The tasks are pretty easy, I felt I was taking care of my home. La spezia is a nice city, near to cinque terre and other amazing places (Bonassola and Corniglia fan here!!). I had an amazing time in the hostel, I could practice my Italian with Andrea, and we had a lot of fun watching the Olympic Games together, it meant a lot for me. Grazie mille Andrea, è stato una bellissima esperienza questo mese <3

Everything that was described on the page was accurate. Hours were very reasonable. Work was very manageable. Location is great for both local activities and day trips. On a personal note: I had a great time! I was able to meet so many cool people at the hostel, both guests and workers/volunteers. They were great about training and making sure I was comfortable with everything as I learned. I was able to go on the most amazing coastal hikes in the area and easily traveled to other cities using the train. 10/10 experience!!

The location of the Hostel is very central in La Spezia not far away from the train station, it's a very beautiful hostel with nice interior and a good terrace to relax. Unfortunately, I didn't have the best experience with the host which resulted in me leaving earlier.I feet that there was not good flexibility and he was very demanding and saw you as his employee rather than volunteer. What I provided for the hostel and the benefits I got back in exchange wasn't as valuable as I thought. But he also was a nice person that was very social and helpful, that could be confusing sometimes.

The hostel is a home to me now and I'm so happy to say I have a family in La Spezia! Andrea and Alessia are truly two of the most wonderful people you could meet, beautiful souls inside and out. They are so warm and welcoming to everyone who enters their hostel and could not do enough for me as a volunteer or indeed for their guests. Their generosity knows no bounds. Working in the hostel is a dream thanks to the wonderful atmosphere created by the hosts. I hope to return someday soon to see my wonderful the hostel family 💙

It was my first volunteering experience and was the perfect one! Andrea and Alessia are the best hosts ever! They make everyone feel very welcome and comfortable, and the communication is always clear. We take turns on the different shifts, so we're able to do different types of activities (which are very well explained for the volunteers). The shifts are organized in advance, and you still have planty of time to enjoy the beauty places around La Spezia! I hear lots of guests saying it's the best hostel they've ever stayed, and as a former guest and volunteer I totally agree with that!

I don't think any other Worldpackers experience could ever compare! Alessia, Andrea and the other volunteers brought me into their little family and I felt so welcomed, respected, and appreciated. The work is straightforward and easy to get the hang of. Guests truly love this hostel and it's because of the atmosphere the owners have created. It really feels like a home, and I endlessly enjoyed getting to take care of that home. Bonus points for the area being beautiful and getting to explore it all with the guests. I'll miss this lily toe family a lot, gracie mille ♥️

The hostel was home for 45 days and the staff became family. Andre and Ale gave me the tips to know Liguria like a local, trekking in the mountains, kayaking, gastronomy The hostel atmosphere is slow travelling, I met lovable people and became friends with Amilcar and Agus, my colleagues The work is like taking care of your house, keeping everything organised and clean, making pasta and helping guests I came with a backpack and now I take with me unforgettable memories, new friends and a huge love for this area (and improving my Italian) Un pezzettino del mio cuore rimarrà in Liguria 🇮🇹

This was my 3rd time volunteering, and it has to be said that the hostel fosters a truly homely and luxurious experience for its guests! This was a truly social hostel to be a part of! :) Andrea and Alessia expect the highest standards for their hostel, and they expect the highest standards. At times the job itself was challenging, but Andrea and Alessia were always ready to listen to recommendations! Special thanks to my 'partner' Amilcar for all the help as well✌️

This was my third experience volunteering and is by far the best! Andrea and Alessia made me feel at home since the first moment. The job didn't feel as a job, it was more taking care of a place you love, like your home and your guests Best experience ever
