Volunteering in the hostel was such a great experience. Both the host and the other volunteers received me very kind and friendly. The most valuable thing I get from this experience is getting to know all the people I met. Being on the morning shift on breakfast allowed me to meet lovely people and make many friends all over the world. Thanks you so much for this wonderful experience. I highly recommend you to be a volunteer here. :)

I volunteered at the hostel for 1 month. It has great volunteer accommodation (bunk beds, very large room, cleaned, mirror with power sockets, many locked box cupboards and with a large desk). There is also a private bathroom with a shower too for volunteers. The staff have always been kind and helpful especially the recptionists xx the work is fair and organised. The hostal is very professional and has spaces for accommodating that. The boss (Loreen) is always a text away and replies very quickly to any situation with resolve. I would most definitely volunteer here again in a heartbeat! 🩷

The hostel has a lot of strengths and I couldn't tell all of them here! The hostel is huge and with complete facilities: a rooftop, co-working, a common area, a private staff bathroom, and a great room for volunteers. The staff is lovely helpful and fun! In special Domi, Tame, Tiare, Gustavo and Vanessa I love you guys! The localization of the hostel is really privileged, being central, near to everything and having a park at the door. The relationship with the host doesn't fall behind, Loreen communicates clearly and demands fair tasks for volunteers. Thanks for the opp! 100% recommended

It was a really nice experience. This Hostel has a great staff of people that make it a comfortable place to stay. The common areas are big and good co-work spaces. I learned a lot about cuisine with the chef and Im thankful I could increase my knowledge in food. I loved the location because is in the heart of Santiago and everything is on hand. I recommend you going to Museo de Bellas Artes, to Cerro San Cristobal for sunset and a coffee in Barrio Lastarria which is a neighborhood full of coffeeshops, bakeries and restaurants. It was such a nice place to stay and volunteer at! I enjoyed working as a Bartender and doing the evening activities. The other volunteer from the bar explained everything to me, which was really helpful! Working on the rooftop was nice because I chatted with lots of people & made friends but also learned to work at a bar. Some people only speak spanish so basic knowledge is definitely helpful, but also i felt like I improved a lot. The staff & volunteers are all very nice and some became really close friends. The room is big and has a private bathroom ! Muchas gracias por todo :)

I just had the most incredible month volunteering at Merced88! This was my first WorldPackers program and I couldn't recommend it more. The other volunteers and hostel workers are so kind, I left feeling like I was part of a family. The building itself is beautiful and is very centrally located to so much you can do in the city. Loreen makes your job very manageable and having two days off a week makes it very easy to take getaway trips to other parts of Chile. 5/5 recommendation!

Working at Merced88 was one of the best experiences I ever had! Everyone working here (Staff and Volunteers) are very nice and will make you feel welcome. The hostel is very well located and the common spaces are awesome for those doing remote jobs as myself. Will 100% recommend, you will have a great time for sure!

It was a perfect first experience on Worldpackers! The work is clear and easy to do and the hostel is great, too. Espeacially because of the perfect location it is easy to get anywhere you want. Loreen really makes sure that everyone is comfortable and feels home. The whole Staff is amazing and you feel welcome the second you arrive. Thank you for the great time!

Best program on worldpackers!! This is was my first time volunteering and it is the best decision I took in my life. Looren, the manager of the property will make you feel like home here and take care of you. I will recommend this program to anyone who want to start his volunteering travel journey. You will see a lot of international travelers here and plus you get the chance to go to different parties for free if you wanna explore more. I stayed there for almost a month😍😍 and made some amazing friends. Thanks the hostel team🙏

My first experience on Worldpackers couldn't be better! The hostel is clean, tidy and also well located. I had so much fun with guests and volunteers while my weeks in Merced88. The tasks that I was meant to do were easy and clear. Gotta say my days working with Yenifer were always funny and I will miss these days for sure. Strongly recommend this hostel!
