This was my first experience volunteering at a farm and it couldn't have been better. the farm got involved everyday teaching us about the land and Buddhism practices. Dang is funny, friendly and an amazing cook. Their daughter is cool, I wish she'd hang out with us more but I guess she has school. Best of all were the other volunteers who I hope I'll meet again as we became best friends. All in all, the work to chill time balance is perfect and the simple facilities are more than sufficient. Thankyou to the farm and Dang, you've inspired me to volunteer more.

My stay was so diverse in activities, it was a great first experience volunteering abroad. We built a new welcome sign from start to finish, learned about chanting & meditation, had a cooking lesson with Dang, hitchhiking days, cut firewood, helped the new temple in the making, experienced a monks funeral, etc., all while making new friends with the volunteers & hosts. Thank you the farm family 🪷🤍

Was lovely to meet all the locals and other volunteers, Dangs yummy food always sustained me after a day of work and i felt really grounded when doing the morning walking meditation. It was it was really eye opening to be able to learn about so many peoples lives and culture. ( if you see a review saying it gets a bit chilly at night during the colder months, however cold you think it is…double it)

My Time with the farm, his family and the other volunteers is a memory that I will forever bring in my heart! Every day we had different tasks and the place is just magical. We practiced meditation, we ate vegetarian food (delicious thank you Dang ❤️) and we had a lot of free time to chill and build relationships. the farm helps the minorities with scholarships and the community around the farm and this makes the experience unique! Thank you very very much!

Beautiful setting in nature, dang's cooking is delicious and the village and farm was quaint. I was not expecting so much free time and as there were not many volunteers at the time, i wish i had planned more entertainment for myself. Or perhaps come on a scooter so i was more mobile. I think coming with a friend or partner at low season would be nice, but solo was a little too chill for myself. The farm work was enjoyable and i can see how when there are many volunteers it would be fun. Thank you the farm and dang for my stay

I stayed at the farm for 1 week and can recommend going there to chill out after a while of traveling and get into a routine. What I enjoyed: - Being surrounded by nature - Food - Bonfire - chatting with the other volunteers - walking around in the area, especially to the lake where you can swim - just being lazy and having time for myself Things to improve in my point of view: - communication (telling people that the farm is not where google maps says it is, inform to bring your own toilet paper and soap as they don't provide that, explain more about meditation and the culture there..

I stayed at Watchura farm for 7 days. I had a good experience it was nice being in nature for a while. I learned how to cement while i was there which was interesting to know about, and I'm glad that I could meet some local people through some activities I was invited to through helping cement around an outhouse :) I recommend staying here if you want some time in nature and to connect more to yourself. Some things to know if you go, the old farm in 40 minutes away the new farm which you'll go to is 3 hours away. Bring some bug spray if you don't like mosquitoes and bring some toilet paper:)
