I would 100% recommend this volunteer. The environment of the hostel was great!! I learned how to surf and was able to keep on practicing by going to the classes or going at the afternoon with the board❤️ The house became my home so fast as I felt so comfortable. Great beds and space to put your own stuff. Always super clean!! The task are easy to understand and to make. Would love to come back❤️‍🩹

It was a great experience, the work was what they described in the announce. The people really make the place! The atmosphere is funny and chill, and we can join any surf class we want! I really liked my time here and all the people I met, and I'm forever grateful for this opportunity!

I had the best experience at Gijón the hostel. The nicest atmosphere, really chill, friendly and feels like a home. The team of volunteers I was with was the best part of my experience and truly felt like a family by the end. The manager, Ezequiel was accommodating and cared about the volunteer's experiences. We went on trips to other surf towns, had free pizza every Tuesday and free barbecue and a parties every Friday. The location is amazing, super close to the beach, supermarkets and clubs for the weekend. Would 100% recommend!

My stay at Gijón the hostel was incredible and priceless experience. Amazing people and wonderful place. It's unbelievable but every good review here is 100 % true. I am really happy that I get an opportunity to be there. Apart from great people I could surf everyday, use a bike, longboard etc. This house has everything you need. Hostel has joyful, surf vibe and it's located in a beautiful surroundings, just a few minutes of walking from a beautiful beach. Your tasks working here will be a pleasure and you will have a plenty of free time. a place you will always want to come back to. Thanks!

Amazing experience. The host is very communicative and open to talk to ensure everybody is accommodate and comfortable. Hours are respected and can be switched upon conversation. The hostel is very cozy, with good amenities and facilities. I was there in low season but still had the chance to surf a little bit. The volunteers were an amazing team and made the whole experience even better. Breakfast was good and the host provided pizza once a week aside from other small "perks." I would recommend it to anyone that wants to chill, be close to the beach and city at the same time.

This is my first volunteering experience abroad, and it's been amazing! I've met so many great people- other volunteers, travelers, and locals. This hostel truly feels like a second home, and I'm so grateful for this experience. I honestly didn't know what to expect from my first volunteer experience, but I don't know if another place could top this one. I hope to return here in the future, because it really has been great! Would definitely recommend to anyone who's looking for a fun and welcoming atmosphere.

My experience with the hostel was a blast. I felt very welcomed by the host. He was very kind and willing to work with me if I had any questions. He was willing to be flexible with the work schedule. Everybody I worked with was amazing. The Hostel was also close enough to the city to walk and if you didn't want to do that there were bikes offered or you could take the bus since the bus station was less than a 5 min walk from the Hostel. The work was pretty reasonable though it was pretty light around the off season. I would definitely come back to work here again.

These two months were more than incredible, more than unforgettable. This place will always have a special place in my heart. I got some true friends. Tried surfing - completely fell in love with it! Improved my spanish a lot! Learned so much about myself, others and life generally! And just felt so at home! Ezequiel is honestly the best manager you could wish for. He really puts his energy, attention, time and care to make you and the whole team feel as good and as comfortable as possible. Thank you GSH for being a home away from home! My time at GSH has been an amazing experience, and I'm really happy that this was my first Worldpackers experience. While I was there, the management changed, so things were a bit different. Before that, the volunteer tasks were more organized, but right now they're still figuring things out. The hostel itself is easily one of the best I've stayed in when it comes to its vibe. It has a wonderfully social and laid-back atmosphere, making you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. A heartfelt thank you to all the volunteers and staff who made this experience so memorable for me! ❤️
