Going to the surf camp was a life-changing experience for sure. The people are really welcoming, it's very easy to make friends and connections that will last forever, and everyone wants to stay longer than 3 weeks. The activities that they offer are super fun but a little expensive, I recommend bringing a lot of cash to avoid paying taxes. The facilites are really cool, especially the swimming pool, but there is no aircon or enough fans in the rooms so be prepared to feel the heat. If I could go back to day 1, I'd definitely do it, be open to everything and enjoy your time in Tamarindo.

This was my first solo trip, and it was a dream come true. Danny, the manager, as well as the rest of the team, were so welcoming to me when I arrived. I made so many connections and had the most amazing time. I couldn't even pick one memory to say as my favorite because they were all so amazing. I cannot even put into words how amazing this experience was. I learned so much and made so many friends.

Super amazing experience! the surf camp was my first time doing worldpackers, and first time solo traveling. It was a really amazing place to start out in because of the other volunteers, the workers and the environment! I couldn't have asked for a better start to my trip!

It is amazing experience. You can meet new people and develop new friendships. The tasks are simple and easy to accomplish. The food is often the same thing but it is really good. There are a few activities during the week and they are really fun! The staff is nice and they are always ready to help you. I had a really good time here!

I had the best experience at the surf camp. This was my first solo travel experience, and I would recommend it to anyone who hasn't travelled alone before. Once I got there, I felt welcomed right away. I've made lifelong friendships, and countless memories i'll never forget. Also I would highly recommend going on the excursions to get outside of tamarindo and see more of the surf camp. The tasks that are assigned to you are very easy, and don't take much time at all. I will miss this place so much, especially music bingo nights, and JJ of course. If you are thinking about coming here, do it!

The surf camp was my first solo travel experience and it was the most fun I have ever had. The people were so kind and welcoming and fun to be around. The excursions and events planned by the camp were so much fun and really got you involved in Tamarindo/the surf camp. The camp life itself was very chill and the surfing was unparalleled, I will forever cherish learning the sport there. I had the opportunity of bartending as my job and I highly recommend that position if you can get it, it is the most social job on camp and if you're good everyone will love you. 10/10 experience THEY ARE NOT A CULT!!!

If you love partying and nightlife, this is a great place to be! There's always music, drinks, and fun social energy. I'm not a drinker, but I still had an amazing time. The host, Grace, is super helpful—talk to her about what you're into and she'll help make your stay great. There are excursions once or twice a week to beaches or waterfalls. Overall, a fun spot with something for everyone!

I loved my experience at the surf camp! I would recommend it to everyone I know with a disclaimer to really look into the weather for that period or the year to make sure it suits you the best. Happy travels!
