I stayed at the surf camp for 3 weeks as a volunteer. I had a really amazing time and meet so many amazing people! The food served at camp is good and the activities are all super fun. The dorms are very hot and not screened in so lots of bugs get in, it's not to bad but definitely invest in a bug net and bug spray. The facilities are all renovated so the showers and toilets are really nice now. The volunteer work was really easy and you can pick a new job each week. The camp also does excursions each week that are fun but pricey.I highly recommend this camp if you are solo and want to meet people

Dream sea is a sick place. If you are trying to learn how to surf and meet lots of homies at the same time this is the place to do it. Meals where good, dorms where good and the people were awesome.

The camp wasn't as expected - even though I've had a fun time with the other volunteers, I'd not recommend stayin at the surf camp. The conditions in the dorm you sleep in are very bad. There's only one fan in the 20 bed dorm so the air doesn't circulate at all and a lot of my stuff was covered with mould so I had to throw it away. Theres also mould inside the dorms. During my stay a lot of the volunteers got sick and it took them in those conditions a long time to recover. The managers at the camp doesn't care about that at all. Most of the volunteers are 18 years old, some even younger.

I really wanted to love the surf camp but it ended up being more of a nightmare than a dream. the only good thing about this place were the other volunteers. never enough food, went to bed hungry every day, disgusting toilets and showers, moldy/wet beds, no laundry facility so everything was moldy and dirty, no housekeeping, WAY overpriced surf lessons and boards were in horrible condition, overpriced drinks and excursions, and 40 min walk to the beach if you didn't get on the one shuttle. i had to leave early because i was getting sick from the mold exposure.

It was a nice experience. The people were nice and it was so easy to find friends because everyone was very open. But what I didn't liked was that at the camp everything is about money. The only care about getting money and they don't really care about the people. The host was also not very nice.

I had a very love-hate relationship with my experience here. It can be very hard for introverts or people that value time to themselves. If you go into it thinking of it as a pimped-out-camping experience, you will get along just fine. It is BUGGY, the accommodation is VERY basic, there's no hot water, and you probably won't ever feel clean while there. the surf camp is, however, REALLY good at what it's supposed to be good for which is making friends from all over the world to travel onwards with and providing a great experience for first-time travelers. Please reach out to me with any questions!

Alright so for the most part i loved dream sea! It is a great place it is just much more expensive then i expected and the beds you get are not so great i was lucky i had an okay bed but it's far from everyone. The thing i didn't really like is that volunteers are a source of revenue for them and more often then not their is not enough food for a second plate so for someone like me who eats a lot it's very annoying and to always have to ask to make more food is very tiring. For the working part it's great you don't have that many hours and you can switch job every Monday! I recommend!

The surf camp was a fun time! I met lots of cool people from all over the world and got better at surfing. The jobs are very easy and get reassigned every week. The living conditions aren't great, but there's always so much going on that you don't spend much time in the dorms.

The place and accommodations were not what I expected but I think It's a great place to meet people and make friends, the food is good and the jobs are fair and you have a lot of free time to enjoy the surf camp. Don't bring a big suitcase cause your probably gonna make friends and travel with them after so choose a backpack. It's a really sociable place but if your not that sociable is good to try to be more. What I most enjoyed was the friends that I made in the time i was there :))

In my experience, the surf camp was not accurately represented on Worldpackers. The reality of the poor living situations (outdoor dorms or rooms with bugs, animals, no fan) and amenities (3 outdoor showers & toilets for 70+ volunteers) are never discussed in these reviews or shown in photos. The accommodations are not worth an additional fee, and they over charge volunteers for every single activity. Many volunteers AND guests were leaving early. If you have zero expectations for working, do not care about your living situation, & only care about the social aspect, this is the place for you.
