My stay, experience in the organization is truly amazing. It was always my deepest wish to volunteer and share some part of my knowledge and experience with other people, but also exchange and learn about other culture. I enjoyed a lot my stay with Santosh, Namuna and Shruti. They're very warm, friendly, helpful, kind and welcoming people. I felt home at their place from the very first moment I arrived. I could try delicious Nepalese food, immerse into the local community which was an absolutely amazing and moving experience for me. Thank you for your kindness and fun we had! I'm very grateful!

Stay with a local Nepalese family with private room. Share meals together in family home. Teach English at the school 5 days per week. First week was school holidays, however some students still attended. Teachers were helpful and assisted me in teaching correct curriculum when school returned. During school holidays I had free range on teaching, due to limited teachers at school. Kyham was very helpful. He picked me up from the airport and took me to a local restaurant then to meet the family. Khyam and team checked in on me regularly and provided recommendations for days off!

Kyham was very accommodating and made sure I was always doing well. My host family was incredible! Santosh and Namuna couldn't have given me a better first week in the organization! I really lived like a local and have friends for life. The school was their first week back after the new year, so it was more of a practise week. I hadn't taught in a school before so I needed more guidance than was first given. Once I had got into it, I had an amazing experience. The children and staff were amazing! I learnt so much and I will treasure my experience forever.

Volunteering at Sirutar Secondary School was a lovely & humbling experience. The children in the school had lots of enthusiasm towards life, and were very friendly towards volunteers & quickly grew a liking towards volunteers. The teaching experience in the school is largely a self-driven and self-motivated affair - there was no fixed framework or plan arranged for volunteers but it was about how you as a volunteer can contribute as best as you can in your own way. The homestay family (Sumit, Maina and Sanokaji) were excellent hosts - the village life was truly warm & eye opening!

Volunteering with the organization was an incredible experience to make a positive impact on the lives of children while immersing myself in the magic of Nepali culture. The organization is very well-structured, before my arrival, they sent me all the necessary documents, and upon arrival, they made me feel comfortable and welcome. The team was always attentive, helping me with anything I needed, and the host family was incredibly kind. I feel very grateful and would totally recommend this experience; I leave with a deep sense of peace within.

Volunteering with Chharari the organization was an incredibly beautiful and unforgettable experience! Teaching the students at Sirutar Secondary School were some of the most fulfilling and impactful moments of my life. The students are full of dreams and aspirations, and are so intelligent and eager to learn. I miss them dearly, and will always remember them. Khyam was an outstanding organizer, consistently providing support and guidance, and making sure that I had everything I needed. He is an incredible person and an amazing NGO volunteers host. I highly recommend this experience to anyone!

I volunteered for 12 days, although a short time I really enjoyed my time there. Helping at the local school in grade 1 and grade 10, was lovely. The history family made me feel so welcome. Mr Khyam goes the extra mile to help and support you, he arranged my tourist trips around Kathmandu Valley. I am really glad I chose this volunteer experience!

Sirutar school's teachers are very competent and your help is more in giving confidence and joy to mostly disadvantaged children. They get stimulated and thank you with their warm affection. On free time you will make beautiful excursions. Himalayan mountains are never very far away and astonishing old towns of Katmandou valley easy to reach in about 20mn by car. The family is warm, including you as one of its members and you will feel safe. If you have clear and deep motivation it's for you! But know that you will be challenged by the economic level and the need of school in particular.
