I am so grateful that I got the chance to visit Iceland as my first Worldpackers experience. Seltjarnarnes is truly an amazing place; there is plenty of wonderful walking spots, lovely views of sunrises, sunsets and the northern lights, moreover, Reykjavik is easily reachable by the public bus in only 15 minutes. During my stay I learned a lot, not only related to the daily tasks around the house, but also about myself and environment. It was so hard to leave at the end. I dare to say that the guest house was my home for a month and I would for sure return if there is a chance :)

Being in the guest house was an amazing experience, totally recommended. Once you get here, you become instantly an active part of the team. The tasks are well explained and the people here are very welcoming. You get the chance to take part in a variety of activities in the house and you also have time to explore. It was an awesome learning opportunity, combined with beautiful Auroras dancing in the sky over the guest house.

This is a lovely experience. You can see northern lights right from the doorstep and can go hike in gorgeous areas. Also I advise to go to the amazing lava show and Perlan museum. Main tasks are setting up breakfast, answering emails and on weekends cleaning the apartments. You'll work together with an intern. You will also do light maintenance work. In summary it's an amaizing experience and I'd love to come back sometime.

It was a good experience at the guest house, prepare yourself to work a lotta of hours, but the work was really well explained by the team members and they always try to help in anyway you need. I wish I had a free trip but I got to see the countryside which was amazinggg.

I had a great time at the guest house, I met incredible people and I had time to visit some parts of the county, I got the chance to learn a lot about the administration of a guest house, like other volunteers mentioned, the hours are a little bit more but sometimes are just simple things like checking the laundry or the rooms, the food and accommodation are just perfect and the neighborhood is very nice, there's also a thermal pool close by

I had a nice time at the guest house. It's in a gorgeous location about 45 minutes' walk from downtown Reykjavik, or a quick bus ride. Zeno was very generous in setting up tours and making sure I got to experience Iceland's beautiful nature! The hours varied a bit more than expected, as the tasks were under the jurisdiction of the one intern who was running the guest house and on call 24/7. She was lovely (thanks, Jule!) and made sure to give me more than enough time off, but there was definitely some stress generated by the lack of staff onsite. I learned a ton about the guest house upkeep and management.

I had overall an amazing stay at the guest house, and would definitely recommend it for future travelers. It was my first experience with worldpackers and I got to learn a lot. The hostel is just a 15 min bus ride from town and you can explore a lot. I got two amazing free tours from zeno, which was just the best. Days off are always respected, but I do have to mention that you will be working more than 32 hours a week, although its not that hard most of the time.
