My experience at the hostel was amazing !! The owner and the team are really helpful and welcoming. Crete is really a wonderful place to explore, and to make it it even better I met so many lovely people during my stay! I would definitely recommend Worldpackers to stay here. My month at the hostel was one of the best I've ever had. The tasks are well explained and easy to follow, the hours are good and the owners were always helpful and welcoming. The hostel felt like a home away from home, it was super comfortable, a lovely place to get to know many amazing people and to live the greek life to its fullest.

I have stayed for 5 weeks in the hostel. The manager is extremely nice and understanding. I worked 5 days per week, and had 2 days off, so I was able to visit all of the island, which is extremely beautiful The job is really not that hard, and when you have a question the manager will gladly help you. The main job is to welcome the new customers show them their room and the facilities, and keep the hostel clean. The customers I met were all very friendly and open-minded. It is extremely easy to make new friends I don't regret doing my first experience as a worldpacker in the hostel !

The experience at the hostel was amazing! We thank Hector for his understanding, flexibility and kindness! He did everything to make us feel comfortable very quickly! I met some unforgettable people during my stay and Crete is a wonderful island that we had time to visit! The work is not hard and the customers are very nice. Thank you again for this experience

Mon expérience dans l'auberge de jeunesse de Matala a été incroyable. Ayant la barrière de la langue, les deux premiers jours ont été compliqués, mais après cela, l'envie de rester ici pour toujours a pris le dessus. L'ambiance dans l'auberge est géniale, on s'y sent bien. On rencontre des personnes du quatre coins du monde. Cette expérience a été pleinement enrichissante et m'a donné l'envie de continuer ainsi. L'auberge de Matala a été ma première expérience en volontariat, et je n'aurais pas pu rêver mieux. Je recommanderai à quiconque d'y aller. Merci.

No se como explicar lo mucho que me ha cambiado esta experiencia. Ha sido mi primer voluntariado y me voy con una gran vivencia que volvería a repetir sin duda. El hostal y Matala ahora son como mi segunda casa. En todo momento me he sentido una más, y he conectado con las demás voluntarias como jamás habría imaginado. Estoy muy agradecida de haber escogido el hostal como experiencia, me ha hecho vivir más mi día a día y conectar con personas de otros países. Estoy muy feliz de haber pertenecido a esta familia, y sobre todo de sentir que ahora en creta, tengo un segundo hogar.

Todo excelente! Gaia la manager muy agradable, el trabajo estaba organizado para toda la semana en turno claros pudiendo organizarse el tiempo libre para uno mismo. A mi me tocó ir al hostel que está en Matala (Matala hostel), las instalaciones muy buenas, con pileta para usar. El equipo que me tocó también buenisimo. Después, Matala también muy lindo, la gente del lugar muy amable y todo muy relajado. Todo diez puntos.

La manager, Gaia, es genial. La comunicación y el trato muy bien. El problema fue con una de las empleadas( la recepcionista). Nos trató mal desde el primer día y no nos hizo sentir bienvenidas. A la hora del trabajo de limpieza ella nos mandaba hacer tareas que le correspondían a ella y nos trataba fatal. Acabábamos tan cansadas mental y físicamente que adelantamos nuestra vuelta a España. Gaia entendió esto perfectamente y no nos puso problema, pero la recepcionista siguió trabajando ahí, pues los dueños no hicieron nada. Aún así, conocimos a mucha gente de otros países y lo pasamos bien.

Con Gaia, la manager, todo fue genial. Sin embargo, otra de las empleadas nos trató mal desde el primer día que llegamos y no nos hizo sentir bienvenidas. Cuando trabajábamos con ella nos mandaba hacer cosas que no estaban acordadas y eran parte de su trabajo. Se nos hizo tan pesado que tuvimos que adelantar los vuelos. Cuando se lo contamos a Gaia lo entendió perfectamente, pero nos tocó seguir trabajando con ella, los dueños no hicieron nada… A pesar de eso, conocimos a mucha gente de otros países y el resto de voluntarios fueron increíbles :)

Una gran experiencia, Apollo es una gran persona y es muy comprensivo, el trabajo no es difícil y se adapta a tus habilidades. Ame la isla y el hostal es realmente bonito y divertido, lo recomiendo muchísimo! 😄
