Program Details

This is a community outreach program with the mission of making a positive impact in our community.
Our main mission is Animal Welfare. We are focused on doing as much as possible to help solve what we believe is a social issue, through TNR and the rescue of animals in life threatening situations.
Through the school program, not only do we have the opportunity to enrich the education of the children in our neighborhood, but also to connect with our community on a different areas.

Activities & Shift

In our Animal Welfare program, we focus on helping animals (mainly cats) in life-threatening situations in many ways. That includes community cats which consist of trapping, spay/neutering, and returning stray cats. Volunteers in this program will help keep our rescue cats' environment as healthy and comfortable as possible. This program has a 3 week minimum commitment.

Volunteers in School Programs have the opportunity to join a classroom and experience first hand how the Japanese school system works by playing with the kids and helping the teachers. There's no specific role, just be playful with the kids and helpful to the teachers. This program has a 4 week minimum commitment.

We also have special projects programs that include maintenance, DIY, gardening, digital presence, social media, etc. that volunteers will have the opportunity to help with.

Rules

We are very serious and passionate about the work we do with the animal welfare and the schools. Volunteers will be made aware of all concerns, rules, responsibilities and perks during the screening process.

All rules and conduct will be provided ahead, in writing and in detail. Volunteers will have time before joining the program to carefully review them, clarify anything, and ask any questions before joining the program.

It is vital for a meaningful and happy experience that we are on the same page before volunteers' arrival to our program.
