Hi! I spent 2 weeks volunteering here and I learnt so much in that time. The people at the hospital are so friendly and kind and it's an intense environment but perfect for full immersion. My boyfriend was filming content for the social media and THO website and really enjoyed it! Our host (Asha) was incredibly welcoming and friendly it was so great to stay with her- food is lovely too! And Dr William was so helpful throughout the whole process, made it feel easy and supported. And our safari was so fun! Emma is lovely and made us feel very welcome and relaxed. A huge thank you to everyone!

My experience within this NGO was just INCREDIBLE. Jackson and Emanuel are with you from start to finish: they listen to your worries or fears, help you when you are sick and accompany you when visiting the city. The kids are just great with all the volunteers. If you want to help children in the organization, go with Samaritan Volunteers they will do everything possible to make this experience go well for you.

I had an amazing experience with the Samaritan Volunteers team in Chamazi. This is such a meaningful project to be a part of. The students are eager to learn and interact with all the visiting volunteers. It requires a lot of energy to keep up with them! But it is totally worth it when you see their smiles and joy, and it truly does feel like this program is making a big positive difference in their lives and in the community. Emma, Jackson, and the rest of the team are great hosts. They make you feel welcome from the very beginning, and you get a totally immersive local living experience.

Such a great experience! The host family was very welcoming and helpful, Suzi made me feel at home from the first day. Working in hospital was very helpful: I had the opportunity to know a different healthcare system, learn a lot about the Tanzanian one and share my knowledge with the operators, who were all very kind with me. All the people of THO was very friendly: they picked me up from the airport and answer me about all questions or information, before, during and after my stay. Weekend are free and all the volunteers have the opportunity to discover the beauty of the organization.

The three weeks I spent volunteering at Mwananyamala hospital were an unforgettable experience. The entire hospital team was very friendly and receptive and the feeling of helping people who really need it was worth it. The social and economic differences with the reality I'm used to were a shock at first, but it opened my mind to a world beyond my everyday life. My host was incredible, very hospitable and welcoming. She incorporated me into the family routine as if I were really part of it. And the flexibility of the program allowed me to visit many tourist places.

The four weeks I spent in Chamazi were better than I could've ever imagined! Living the local life, getting to help at the school, playing with the children and meeting so many incredible people while being welcomed by everyone! I would like to thank the organization for giving me the chance to live this experience as a volunteer nurse here in the organization. I have been able to see how healthcare works up close, I have worked side by side with its professionals and I have felt part of the team. I have tried to help as much as possible and share my knowledges. Being able to live close to their culture and traditions has been great. I have had an incredible personal and professional experience, which has filled my heart.

The School is amazing and the kids are so sweet🥺 We had nice food and the rooms we stayed in was big, clean and with a fan. Also both Jackson and Emmanuel are sweet and helpfull and I enjoyed the local african village life.

It was just the best three weeks of my life. I didn't expect how much this experience would give me. I met several incredible people who will always stay in my heart, I got the chance to create a huge impact on the local community through outreach programs, and the opportunity to help Dr. William promote the NGO. Despite working hours, there is also plenty of time to experience the local culture and explore the natural beauty of the organization such as Zanzibar, Safari, and nearby islands. I can recommend this program to other volunteers who want to create a real impact.
