This was a month spent with wonderful people who trained me well in the position, explored cape town with me, and assisted me with travel plans. I worked 4 days on and 4 days off, all in the evening, which gave me so much time to explore the city. Do bring a jacket because the bar area is outside (but blocked from wind and there's a fire area). I am very glad I got to work with them! There is a washer and dryer and a full kitchen to use as well.

Working here was fun for the most part - the job itself at the bar isn't very demanding, however, it does take up a decent amount of time. The schedule is 4 days on, 4 days off with another volunteer who you share a small room with. Would have liked to know ahead of time that everything is done on pen & paper for the bar & requires a lot of time to count the morning after your shift. Bc many different people were training me, it took me a while to get the hang of the bar count & would take 1-2 hours extra of work each morning, Made some good friends though & staff were nice!

It's a chill little hostel but not very organized. You don't get much training unless you ask for it. But the hours aren't too bad - 4 days on and 4 days off. In a good safe neighborhood

This was my first volunteering experience and the hostel was really amazing. All the staff was kind and inclusive with me, make me feel always safe and part of the family. The place is cozy and comfortable, in a nice area close to the city centre. Every person who works there is helpful and polite. I had a really good experience, I already miss all of them a lot!

My experience volunteering at the hostel was amazing!! I had a very good and attentive reception, the people who make the hostel happen are unique. Being able to practice my English, I had a social immersion, and several learnings. For travelers, I recommend the hostel, a comfortable, lively place, work is fun and practical. I'm grateful for everything!! The staff is very friendly and helpful.

I was a volunteer in Sunflowers in June/July and this period was really amazing! For some weeks I was volunteering in other place in the morning and volunteering in the Sunflowers bar in the evening. I have to say that the Sunflowers team is always going to do the best thing for you! Hans, Cardi and Augusto were working there with me almost every day and all of them have something to add in your life. You will learn a lot! Talking about the work, the shift starts at 5pm and goes until 11pm, but most of the time we stay more with the guests. The tips also help you. It was fantastic!!

I had the most amazing experience in this hostel! The whole the hostel family is absolutely amazing! The job is very easy and allows you to meet people from all over the world and practice your english. The hours are also great, I am a digital nomad and I was able to work and enjoy myself no problem. The hostel is very comfortable and has everything you need. The people are wonderful and I miss everyone already!
