The experience
I'm Calvince Majengo, a 27 years old man from Mfangano Island in Lake Victoria Kenya. Am a resident of Mfangano Island.
Am blessed with a lovely, welcoming and God-fearing family and neighbors with high hospitality to all Volunteers. We welcome all visitors to come and help us on our farm.
NOTE: If at all you don't have any relevant skills, you can also just come to relax, tour, enjoy the good climatic condition of Mfangano Island.
What you offer

Animal Care:
Help look after and take care of animals.
Social Work:
Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.
Farming:
Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.
Gardening:
Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

Description:
Since we come from a developing country, the cost of living is quite high so we request Volunteers to contribute £6 per day to help in paying some bill and food stuff.
What you get
2 days off per week
Private Room:
You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.
Shared Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.
Breakfast:
You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Lunch:
You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.
Dinner:
You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Tours:
We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Program Details
Our program is a family farm project growing variety of local vegetables, banana plantation, kales, spinach, tomatoes e.t.c
We welcome all Volunteers to come and help us and learn from us our way of live through cultural exchange.
NOTE; If at all you don't have any relevant skills, you can also just come to relax, tour, enjoy the good climatic condition of Mfangano Island, meet and interact with the locals and learn our way of life through cultural exchange. We also welcome student Volunteers who may want to do research on different learning areas.
Activities & Shift
Volunteers will help for us for 14 to 21 hour per week. They will have a break for 2 days every week.
