This was my second Worldpackers stay, and it has been awesome. I felt welcomed since I got here, everyone is always friendly and ready to help you or answer any questions you have. The team you meet here starts to feel like a family. I was lucky to be able to extend another two months. It can be hard work and you do need attention to detail, but when you're working with a good team it gets easier. You also get staff discounts at the bar and pasta, rice, eggs and more which makes life a lot easier too! I'm happy I chose to come to the hostel 😁

Volunteering at King Kool/ Monument is amazing, the staff is wonderful (love u guys), I felt very welcome! Communication about any problems that may arise is open, and Deedee does an excellent job managing the cleaning, schedules and mediating the relationship between the volunteers and the manager. One point that could be improved would be the facilities, as the two rooms for volunteers are located in the basement and do not have any windows, but overall it is quite spacious and cozy. I recommend it to everyone and would definitely come back!

I stayed at the Will and the hostel for one month and it was a good experience. I appreciated the family atmosphere and the calm and safety vibes of this place. Den Haag is beautiful, beautiful parks and beaches and easy to reach other cities.

I was here in low season and the job was ok, 4 hours a day, 4 days a week, with a coffee brake, it does not sound like a lot but it's hard job specially on sundays! The staff is friendly and very welcoming, party is great. They use to get us some food, cereal, milk etc so that's nice. I think this position is fair, however, if you're looking for a true worldpackers experience I don't think this is it, it feels like a job in which I didn't feel appreciated. Also, I had a bad experience in which the boss almost fired me because a volunteer verbally attacked me and she did nothing about it…

This was my first time at a work/stay placement, and traveling alone I was quite nervous. However, I have loved my time at King Kool hostel, and am still loving it as I extended my stay! The work can be challenging at times but is always reasonable and hours are graciously respected all of the time. The community of volunteers here can make the working hours seem light, and the hours and days off (most of the time spent) so so fun. I have made incredible friends here and am so sad to leave! Would definitely recommend!

This was my first experience voluneering and it resulted much better than I was expecting. I was able to meet good friends while I explored the hostel. Working at the hostel can be a little tiring sometimes but most of the time the work is finished earlier. The crew is the sweetest people and everyone feels like they are at home.

My days at the hostel were and still are amazing. Mainly the staff and everyone who works there made me feel like I was at home. Working hours are always respected and free days too, which is very good because you have time to see everything, in addition to the hostel's great location.
