My experience at the hostel was wonderful. I had the chance to meet interesting people and work with various volunteers! Vera is the soul of the hostel. She is colourful, warm and generous. She does everything she can to make us discover more about the culture and history of Croatia. Inviting us to amazing local event or make us discover a lovely town outside of Zagreb. The hostel itself is peaceful and full of life. It is an ideal place to live and work because of its lovely garden and it's proximity to the Maksimir Parc. It's the perfect place to learn and discover!

A very nice experience, full of learning and growth. Alongside with my sister we forged beautiful bonds with guests, volunteers and Vera. Vera is a great person, she radiates positive energy, she loves to share and always makes you smile. At the hostel you feel at home and that's wonderful. Thank you for everything, we are enormously grateful and happy to have lived this experience in Croatia, it will forever be in our hearts.

I loved this experience, we had such great moments with the volunteers and Vera. I realy liked knowing his culture, his language and having moments as a family. the hostel is awesome, make you want to stay longer sharing good times and enjoying.I recommend this experience, believe me .. you will never get bored. Vera! Thanks for everything! you are a wonderful, strong and sweet woman. I learned a lot with you, I felt at home and i will always carry you in my heart. I recommend the hostel to everyone. I loved the atmosphere, the calmness and communication with other volunteers . The building and the garden are beautiful. And Vera is amazing and lovely! Best host ever! Vera, thank you very much for your kindness, generosity and good mood everyday. You made us feel like home and we really enjoyed this time with you and learnt lots of things :)

The overall experience was very good! the hostel has an amazing garden that helps people to socialize and create a very good atmosphere. The rooms and general facilities are adequate. Although it seems far from the city center, you can easily reach every place using the tram or tram+bus. Vera, the owner of the hostel, is a strong self-made woman! Even though she does not offer food when you apply, she often brings breakfast and lunch. The only aspect that for me requires revision is the amount of work that there's some days. If there are not enough volunteers, work exceed the 5 hours/day

Our experience in the hostel Youth Hostel was awsome! Vera is a wonderfull woman: happy, sweet and always attentive! The job was very easy and we have a lot of free time to know the city. The hostel is near to the tram station to go the center, and very near to the Maksimir Park 😍, the best! Definitely we recomended this voluntareer! For the other hand Vera took us to know other city near Zagreb and we shared one meeting with her friends. And they invited us for a hike in a mountain near the city. We spend a wonderfull month in Zagreb! People and the city are amazing! Thanks Vera!!!

Estuve 3 semanas en el hostel con mi amiga y nos sentimos muy afortunadas de haber vivido esta experiencia. El hostel está genial, cerca de paradas de tranvía para ir al centro y Croacia es un país que tiene muchas cosas por ver. Fue mi primera experiencia de voluntariado y sin duda repetiría! Vera es una increíble anfitriona y siempre se preocupa de que estemos bien, además tuvimos la suerte de probar su cocina, todo delicioso:) Puno hvala za sve!

Hola! En el hostel he pasado dos semanas muy agradables, las tareas era fáciles y asequibles y teníamos muchísimo tiempo libre. Como punto negativo diría que en Zagreb no hay demasiado que hacer y después de una semana de vuelve un poco monótono, por lo que no os aconsejaría coger más de dos semanas. En si el voluntariado con Verica y su hija ha estado genial, han sido súper simpáticas y el hostal es un sitio precioso para pasar el rato (en jardín está genial y teníamos un hab compartida entre dos), los clientes eran un encanto y al haber varios voluntarios había un buen ambiente.

Una experiencia muy enriquecedora! El hostel es súper acogedor, tienes total privacidad y es súper bonito, sobre todo el jardín. Vera es una anfitriona de 10, flexible, alegre y muy servicial. El horario es compatible con poder visitar la ciudad de Zagreb y hacer planes, hay mucho tiempo libre. Aunque el horario es partido y tienes tanto turno de mañana como de tarde, siempre puedes alternar turnos con otros voluntarios. Fue mi primera experiencia en World packers y la recomiendo 100%!
