This is one of the rare experiences where I felt like I was leaving home when I left. It's amazing how comfortable Ovick and his family made us feel. the school was also rewarding. I worked with an incredible team at E-Fun Institute which made my stay even better. It was really fun to teach the students at E-Fun. As I told them this is not goodbye but a see you soon. Thank you for everything 🩵

I would absolutely recommend this project. I really enjoyed the classes as well as other activities. For expample, exploring temples in the enviroment, going to the carfree day and baking bakpia. Ovick drove me to the temples and was always making sure that I got the most out of the experience. To sum it up, this is a great opportunity to get an insight into the culture and religion. I personally also was very greatful to work at the school.

This is a great experience to teach English to a wide range of students in Java. The students and staff at the school are all so friendly and welcoming, and it's an opportunity to learn more about normal life in Java as well as picking up some Indonesian along the way! Ovick and his family are great hosts and make sure you have everything you need to be comfortable. They also make sure you take advantage of things to do locally and around Java. I had a wonderful time.

Ovick and his lovely family are very experienced hosts, having welcomed over 200 international volunteers already. the school at EFUN is fast and easy to get into as volunteers always join other teachers to their small classes. No preparation needed. Accommodation is provided in the family house with all facilities shared. It can be quite hot in the room, even in the night. The school is 3 km down the main road, easy to find. I mostly used a nice bicycle provided by Ovick. Other activities included a meal sharing event, cycling trip and visitkng natural springs.

So this was our first experience with Worldpackers and also with travelling on our own and we absolutely loved it. Ovick and his family were very welcoming and we quickly felt like home. At the school everyone was really nice, they involved us a lot and the classes were fun. There was always a positive atmosphere which was really nice to work in. Outside of school Ovick took us to many places and helped us arrange our own little trips. All in all it was an amazing experience that we will cherish for the rest of our life and we can recommend it to everyone who is thinking about going there.

I had the most incredible time with Ovick and his family. They were so welcoming and friendly, always chatty, helpful and hugely fun to be around. I'm so sad to be leaving and will miss everyone hugely, especially their 2 wonderful children! Working with Ovick at the school was amazing. Working with children and teenagers to improve their the school running my own classes. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful, it's every volunteers' dream placement. Ovick also took me to temples, pools, markets, events and even a wedding! Extended my stay by a week and plan on returning next year!

I absolutely loved my stay with Ovick and his family! They welcomed me into their home and were eager to share the local culture and take me on adventures! I joined this programme to gain the school I had so much fun assisting in the classes and was even given the opportunity to lead my own class which is exactly what I was looking for. The school is for students looking to gain extra English lessons outside of their regular school or work and the classes are very small, this I loved because the classes were more interactive and enjoyable for everyone
