The experience

Enjoy the beautiful Genoa while helping to receive our guests (giving basic info and city maps, explaining the hostel rules and showing the rooms/beds); daily cleaning, little maintenance works inside the hostel; clearing up the dorms (beds and lockers); shopping (optional).


What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Night Shift: Help with night shift tasks and create a relaxing environment for guests.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.


What you get

2 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely


Requirements

Fluent English or Beginner Italian

Between 20 and 38 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers


What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa


Program Details

Helping in a tiny hostel means getting really in touch with people from all over the world and also improving your english and italian a lot. We're open minded people and we'd really like to show you how a little hostel works and welcome you in our family! :)


Activities & Shift

Working at the reception in the night shift and welcoming guests (need to learn our PMS software), cleaning of restrooms and common space


Rules

We provide you a calendar of your shifts. You are able to exchange shifts with other volunteers, but we always prefer to know first so we make sure everything is working fine for everybody
