I spent 2 weeks in the hostel. It was my first ever volunteering experience and I totally loved it. Aleksandar was really nice and Victoria, the manager, was a sweetheart. They were flexible and helped with everything if we had any questions. The work was really easy and didn't require much effort and time so after that we had the whole day for ourselves. Victoria organized a lot of activities for us so it wasn't boring at all. The whole staff and the place itself was amazing so I would love to go back sometime. Thank you for the opportunity to have my first experience with you.

The hostel is a beautiful grass roots hostel perfect for those looking to experience nature in Bar, slowing down and going back to basics in an artistic, rustic hostel. Aleksander and Victoria are gorgeous people who were so welcoming and warm, I really appreciated how they made me feel. One thing to note is that the beach and city centre is around a 30 minute walk from the hostel but renting a bike from the city is an option. The views surrounding the hostel are not to be missed, absolutely breathtaking. I will cherish my time at the hostel 🙏🏼

Good for meeting other travellers and relaxing near the coast. Surrounded by a cute farm with cows and lots of fruit trees. Tasks were easy to complete.

Honestly I never really felt welcomed at this hostel. I never got greeted or got a tour when I arrived my first night. Nobody told me about what time we start in the morning or what tasks I was expected to do. The hostel manager was not the most friendly, kinda got the vibe she didn't like me. The other volunteers were lovely! I loved going to Old Town, the beach, and the waterfall together. The workload was light. As for the hostel: there's no air conditioning, no locks on the doors, no luggage storage or secure place to put your belongings, and the only working showers are down the road.

I was under the impression it was a functioning hostel as the description didn't have anything to indicate that it wasn't. This wouldn't of been a problem but it wasn't the work I signed up for, the hostel was closed for a year so was in a pretty bad condition the bathroom was disgusting and even after cleaning it was still not in a state to host guests. One the first night me and another volunteer stayed up for hours just to clean the room that we would be sleeping in. Should've been advertised correctly, I left after my first day.

Overall, I really enjoyed my time at the hostel. The workload was very manageable and allowed for plenty of time to explore Bar as well as neighboring cities. I felt that organization among the volunteers could be improved, in terms of delegation of daily tasks. Aleksander was very respectful and flexible, and the hostel was cozy and quiet. I would definitely recommend this experience!

As for my first Worldpackers experience, I was very happy that the host choose me to help to run the hostel. I was very impressed how much social connections I made during my stay. Hostel tasks were quite easy and after finishing them it was plenty of time to see the area, rest, spend time in Montenegro beaches. Would recommend this hostel who wants to meet interesting travellers and spend quiet time in the nature.
