Albano is very flexible with work hours, a really good person, we didn't stayed on the place that shows in the pictures but it was ok. Some volunteers worked more than others, I felt that is not organized at all, but it's a place with really good people!

Albano was always very nice and flexible, however the lack of organization was sometimes a problem because there were volunteers that worked way less than the others. Also, we were supposed to get one meal per day during our stay but we never got a single meal and that was disappointing. Plus, we didn't get to stay at the place showed in the pictures, we were put downstairs in a much dirtier area. Overall it was a nice experience, we met nice people, and did our part! We ended up staying less than expected but we worked more than expected also, so that worked out in the end.

Sorry you felt a lack of organization. You participated in project involving 4 floors and a garden. Honestly we have never been more organized. :D
Than for the meal, as far as i know our positions do not offer food but if there was a mistake you could have told me something during your stay.
The downstairs dirtier area has been the staff room for the last 2 years...

My experience at the hostel was very good, even off season I could visit a lot of places around Saranda and my work times were very flexible. The staff room is very good and private and the work tasks simple and easy to learn.

I really recommend this experience. Albano is a very flexible person with good energy. The work is very easy and as it is described. He gives you a very nice volunteer department. I would really go back to that place.

My experience in the hostel was incredible, i have no words for what i did in this two weeks that looked like two days. I loved to work in the reception of the hostel, i think will help me in the future to in terms of social communication and the best part was to meet so many people from all over the world and i learned so much and had a lot of fun with them, i will never forget them. Albania is an amazing country, the beaches are really beautiful and the ocean is so clean. Albano is such a nice host, and he is really kind and helped us in everything, i just loved to meet him

Finding the hostel was one of the best experience that I've had in my life. Here, the job is just colaborative maintence, always exchanging knowledge and happiness everywhere. You will find an amaizing person here in Albano. He is the manager of this incredible place. The hostel is practically brand new, with an amazing games room and it's just 5 blocks to the beach. Also it has a beautiful garden plenty of plants to take care off. It was my second volunteer expierence and it couldn't have been better. So blessed to find people and places like this one !!!

The hostel itself is a cozy hostel with very good structure and location... the job is flexible, different and working both in the greenhouse and garden has made me experience sustainable perspectives on construction and resources. You can learn a lot with the locals hanging in the atelier, we have a space for art and chilling under the hostel. Albano is a great inteligent figure that will treat you empathetically teaching you about the biology of plants and farming! Summerizing, 10 outta 10

I had so much fun staying at the hostel. The host, Albano, cares about the environment and recycling so you get to learn at least a little about that. Saranda is also a cozy city with beautiful beaches and lots of places to visit (but could be crowded during the summer which was at times annoying). Overall, it was a good first volunteering experience :)

Albano received me very well and always made sure that I was comfortable. He is very committed to making a change in Albania regarding waste. I left a few days before the WP and he was super understandable. thanks for everything 🙌

The host is very engaged with the environmental cause so I learned a lot about gardening, reducing and repurposing waste, and the local community. We even rescued puppies during my stay! If you come here you can expect varied tasks as the host likes it when everyone does a bit of everything. You shouldn't expect a very rigid shift schedule which I truly appreciated as I ended up starting a new job mid-experience and the host was very flexible and acommodating. But if you like rigid schedules with set days off and being constantly told what to do, you might struggle a bit.
