I ABSOLUTELY LOVED MY 28 DAYS IN UGANDA WITH MY HOST EMMA. These 4 weeks have been the most wonderful weeks and I am already missing them. Right from my arrival to my last day, everything was nearly perfectly. I miss the school, the kids and Wabulenga. Thank you Emma! ♥️

This was my first time as a volunteer and it was amazing! I recommended it to everyone. It is impossible to put into words everything I have experienced and felt during my month as a volunteer at the organization. Emma, lydia and the kids at home are incredible. They made me feel at home from the first day and now they are my family. During my month there, i helped Emma with the social media of the foundation but I also went to school and work as a teacher. The kids, the teachers and the staff at school are amazing. If you want to live the real african experience, this is for you

We stayed just one week .. but it was awasome , astonishing, you will live in a house with the kids of the house .. there are four .. plus 3 woman more.. they are all of the staff .. they will cook and do chores .. nice and funny people ! we laughed a lot. then you will have your tasks .. they will be school from 8,9 am to 3 or 5 pm depends on the day. kids are in the school are spectacular.. so kind .. so nice .. you will miss them when you leave . they need a lot of help.. just four teachers for about 200 children... there are another tasks like help in the house, we didn't farm, no seaso

It was so nice trip. I highly recomend this place. The Host welcomed and treated me as family. And The most greatest thing is about the kids. Kathula, cyrus, getu, wiki, nabaweesi, capiati(im not sure the spell) I really miss them even Im traveling another contry now. The kids Are so nice they always respected me. I felt that I was being loved there by kids. I cant describe it And I could visit Ugandan wedding party also. Thanks amma and lydia for taking me there so that i can experience Local culture deeply. I'll never forget the Christmas we spent together!

I volunteered here for 25 days, from July 20th to August 16th 2022. We had a hard time getting use to the life in Uganda, the activities could have been organized in a better way, some days you have a lot to do but other days there's absolutely nothing to do and you just stay at the house bored. Be careful with bacterias and malaria, however hospitals in Uganda are better than expected. Emma offered a safari which cost €365 per person, i which I could have know it earlier to put it on my budget. At the end we had a great time here, but we just wish Emma have told us that kids are in holiday

It’s only you who had hard time to fit with the conditions since you had no open heart at first
Weekends are free days and the time you were here the kids were at school, just you had no self motivated activities to them like the way other volunteers do it.
For the safaris I told you about it before coming here and when you came here you said your daddy didn’t carry his card and more money.
For the coming volunteers don’t worry about malaria and bacteria it’s not the order here
We be at school Monday to Friday
Come with an open heart and mind you will have the best

My experience here was great and I would recommend it to everyone who wants to go to Uganda. There were however some communication issues. I applied for the cooking position thinking most of the time I would be doing that. Yet you have to look at all the experiences Emma offers, because you will do every single one of them. It was great, but be aware of it so that you don't have false expectations. Apart from that it is best that you plan your free time, because Emma will be to busy to show you around. Apart from these little problems, I had a great time!

It was my first single trip and I'm sure I'll never forget it. Children are wonderful, full of love and warmth. People are friendly and positive. If you want to experience real life in Africa then this experience is perfect for you. I also encourage you to support the foundation in the further construction of the school in the village! Hi. First. You are about to enter a real family. A grupo of people who do share love and cooperate for a greater good. They are so kind, and will assist you with everything you need to feel that you are making a real change. With them you can make the difference. Everything is the right conditions for you to succeed. I real do advise you to meet them and volunteer there. No words. No bad things to say. No advises to give. It's home, a place where you can work and feel comfortable. You will, for sure, feel loved.
