Sillar and the kids were beyond hospitable, welcoming and simply amazing! They have a beautiful project! Being with them allowed me to immerse in their culture and truly understand the day to day of most Zambians! Expect to live the way they do, which will probably be very different to the way you do, but that is simply the beauty of it! I couldn't be more great full with Sillar and family for my time with them! I miss you already

Volunteering in Zambia was one of the most meaningful experiences of my life.* Teaching English to the children touched me deeply — their smiles, curiosity, and love will stay in my heart forever. Sillar, the host, is doing an incredible job with very limited resources. She truly needs support on every level — from educational materials to hands-on help. The only things is that maybe they can put the extra fee in the page so volunteers are aware of the payment. Besides that, nothing else to say except that I miss them already and they're always in my heart. ❤️

This experience was socially amazing, but for me the hygiene conditions of the house are not good. I was working on the project, but I preferred to stay at a hostel

Host family is great and school kids are the sweetest. The project itself needs better organization since it feels more like a daycare instead of a school. This means you have a lot of freedom to teach and play with the kids as you want so it really is up to you. I used to go to town everyday for food, water and Wi-Fi. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

I volunteered with my partner to help out with construction. We paid in advance so it came as a shock when it was explained that our money had been used by another volunteer and that if we wanted to keep building/finishing tasks, we would have to finance everything. Our offer of splitting costs 50/50 was declined. We met another volunteer who was staying at the same time and revealed she had paid a small fortune to have any tools and materials in order to have work to do. We 3 agreed it sadly felt like a scam and that volunteers are taken advantage of. On the plus side, the kids are fantastic.

Big thanks to Aivu & Silla. You guys took me in, brought me closer to your community and taught me plenty about your culture. I truly believe our work together made a lasting impact on your school. It was a pleasure ! I wish you two as well as your lovely kids, sbive, bila & grace all the best for the future!

I did have a great time with Ivor, Sillar and the children at the school! Living with the locals, sharing experiences and getting to know their roots and also helping the children and the environment was just incredible. I defo recommend it!

Ivor, Sillar and Hellen are nice and sweet and they try very hard to do what they can to help the kids but the school needs some serious work. The rooms are too small and hot and there is no toilet or filtered water for the kids to drink. I loved the work with the children. They are loving and passionate. I learned a lot! Very grateful for the experience.
