Helping out in the center for bilingual children

My experience was short but I really enjoyed it! Alex and Dana are super nice, I was able to work in my field and exchange ideas with other people. The workflow was very smooth, and you have a lot of autonomy while working. I wish I had gotten to know more about the school environment and the classes, but it was the school vacations. You are amazing, and the project is beautiful!

Although Alex was out-of-town working during most of my stay, she still sent me clear instructions everyday on what to do. Some of the things I did was make a sensory board for the kids, bike around town delivering fliers to businesses, and use the public transportation to go put posters throughout the city. This helped me explore a lot of Hannover which is a beautiful place! Just be prepared to spend a lot of the days working by yourself. Dana is really nice, and a great cook! I also loved playing with Mr. Cat :) and already miss him. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to volunteer at MK!

It was a great pleasure to take part in the school daily life! My tasks included promoting bilingual school with posters across the city, which helped a lot in exploring the town, helping with cleaning and some school preparation processes, and most valuable - taking part in the organization of the event for children. It was a diverse and educational experience and I am grateful for the opportunity to explore the non-profit school system and meet many great people. Alexandra and Dana were extremely welcoming and really nice, Dana's cooking was just amazing and I had a great time overall!

I am willing to express my gratitude for the exceptional experience I had at the school. I met some volunteers from other countries, the staff, and Alexandra on the project and all of them became my family. They all were supportive and friendly, so the volunteering went smoothly with joy. If I have the opportunity, I would definitely come back again. Thank you.

I had an amazing time in Hannover, as my work mostly consisted of exploring places all over the city. Alexandra instructed me very well on every task, leaving no space for being lost in the meantime. Everything was clear, enjoyable and chill. I think especially people, who like creative tasks, will find it interesting. Everyone was very nice and understanding, especially the hosts. Dana - thank you for your kindness and time. Thank you very much for the opportunity!

It was a wonderful experience! I started learning from Day 1 about the unique culture of Germany and from the Eastern European staff and students in the school. Talking to the Russian kids was a worthwhile challenge. Moreover, each task was unique including one that involved exploring Hannover. My favorite part was the unexpected adventures each day. Tasks lasted 4-5 hours per day, leaving the rest of the day to explore, meet locals, and eat. My every need was met, often before I even asked. Alex and Dana were always extremely friendly and hospitable, even ensuring I was OK when I was sick.

Thank you Daniel, it was a pleasure to meet you. Such a pity you got sick during the last days so that in general we have had even less time and chance for informal communication. Hope you are already at home feeling better. Kids are saying hi.

This was my first volunteer experience and it was fantastic! The kids were lovely , even though I couldn't speak Russian we tried to communicate through gestures and it was fun playing with them. I went during Christmas time, there were a lot of Christmas events for kids so my task involved preparing stuff for those events and looking after the kids. The house is very comfy and everything you need is there. Alex and her partner Dana were very nice, we had good chat almost everyday during breakfast and dinner. Special thank you to Dana for making delicious meals! Thank you for pleasant stay!!

It was fun and new experience that I had in Germany. I got to know that there are many Russian immigrants and Ukraine refugees in Germany, and that it is good for kids to have an opportunity to learn their mother tongue. Even though, they are not living in Russia. The kids were lovely and joyful. Teachers were respectful and kind. Though, I was very shy to speak Russian. I definitely enjoyed just to have listened Russian language. Sometimes host cooked delicious foods. I was also able to cook with the ingredients in there. The host is very hard worker. She works a-lot with lots of passion.

I really loved my time at the school! I learned a lot about children education here and the children are super sweet. Most of my work was to look after the children and play with them, and to do other different tasks for the center. So you definitely never would be bored. If you interesting to learn about children education this place is perfect for you! Alexandra and Dana are nice and very welcoming! It was amazing two weeks, thank you for everything!

This was my first Worldpackers experience and it went satisfying. Alexandra was a very accommodating host, understanding and helpful in many ways. As for tasks, I work as an accountant in an educational center, so upon my arrival I got assigned to a task that matches my field of expertise. I also had to da little of creative work with the team upon my request. I call my first experience a success and it left a good impact on my journey in Europe.
