The experience

We Need help from April 1st, 2026

Read the description carefully. We will not answer if you don't meet our requirements.

The hostel is in an old house (built in 1914!) but entirely renovated. We have a big backyard (about 1000m²). We're looking for someone who wants to stay at the hostel in exchange for a bit of help.


What you offer

15 hours of help per week

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

2 days off per week

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Requirements

Beginner English or Beginner French

Between 18 and 35 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Be from outside France

Program Details

The help required in the hostel is not tricky, but needs to be done well because it is customer-related.

The work is not complicated; we ask for a maximum of 15 hours of help a week, mainly cleaning (about 2-3 hours a day). The help is in the morning, usually between 10 am and 3 pm. You can choose your time. Our only request is that the rooms be cleaned by 3 pm (check-in time).
You work 5 days/week and have 2 days off.

Activities & Shift

Your task is to make the beds and clean the dormitories, bathroom, toilets and common area.

Rules

We take WOMEN ONLY because we have just one dorm for the staff. You'll have a dorm room reserved only for the volunteers (usually 3 ).

We can accept a couple/pair: one for this position and the other for the cleaning position.

We provide linen, blankets, towels,...

We don't provide food, so we don't ask for full-time work. You need to have a budget for food, and you can use the food left by the guest.
