Lucia and Rafael were so amazing and welcoming! They truly made this experience unforgettable! I loved building friendships with them and i know they will be lifelong!I loved staying here. It was truly a life changing experience and I would recommend it to anyone! It's in a great location and you have the opportunity to meets lots of new people and locals!

To say that my stay at the hostel was a 5-star is an understatement. Lúcia and Rafael are simply one of the kindest, funniest, and most welcoming people I have ever met. They were always very understanding, happy to help, and full of incredible travel stories. The tasks were simple, which gave me a lot of freedom to explore the beautiful surrounding area. I feel so lucky to have had been a part of the hostel, and I look back at this experience with nothing but gratitude and fondness– I would absolutely do all of it over again. Thank you for everything, I hope we meet again soon!

Lucía and Rafael are just the best hosts! They are kind, easy-going and always willing to help and hangout. It was my first volunteering and it was amazing. The tasks are really simple so I had plenty of time to be at the beach or to take walks or just do pendings. Also can't skip the deliciousness of the food over there! I cherish good moments and now have 2 good new friends!

The hostel is a locally owned hostel literally a mere 30-second walk to the beach, and I am extremely grateful and proud that I got to call it home for 30 days through this experience. Lúcia is a phenomenal host, and it is inevitable that you find a friend in her because she is truly one of the most genuine, generous, down-to-earth people I've ever met. If you are lucky enough to be chosen to be a part of the hostel team, you are in for a treat! The free lunch is always extremely delicious, and it is right here that I've had the best Portuguese meals of my life thus far. the hostel, muito obrigado!

My time at the hostel was amazing! I meet so many wonderful people and ate some really good food! So close to the beach and everything was pretty walkable. The job was not hard at all and left plenty of time to do whatever you want. The host is amazing! She makes you feel like best friends, and was there when we needed her and down to hangout take you new places. We made so many memories and i will never forget!

I had such a good time at the hostel. The location is insanely great. It's next to the beach, everything you need is around and Sintra is not far away. Also the Hostel was super familiar and always a good atmosphere. But the Hoste Lucia made the time for me unforgettable. She is so lovely, carrying and really want the best for her volunteers. She also gave nice opportunity's to have a deep dive in to the Portugiese culture. I'm really going to miss all of this.

This was my first time as a volunteer and I loved it!! The tasks are easy and the hostel is comfy and chilling. The beach is super near and there are a lot of wonderful places to discover during your free time. Regarding the host... She is AMAZING!!! Lúcia is super funny and kind-hearted❤️ The kind of people that you want to have around you. I will totally recommend this volunteering experience!!

The hostel is a place where you can find a lot of fun exactly at 50 meters from the beach. Lucia is a wonderfull person, very kind. I will for sure reccomend to stay here .

Hey :) this was my first volunteering experience and it was amazing! Lucia and her family are really nice people, that made me feel part of her family since the begging! And when I think about Praia das Maças, the words that come to my mind are: Wonderful, Breathtaking and life-changing. the hostel is, without doubts, a big “YES, DO IT” in my opinion. And I'm sure I will come back in the future! <3
