What you offer

Program Details

***About El Misti***

El Misti is more than a hostel—it's a community. With a team of over 40 staff members from around the world and only 8 selected volunteers, we focus on creating unforgettable experiences for travelers in one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Rio: Ipanema. Just 50 meters from the beach, our environment combines adventure, culture, and a warm family atmosphere.

***Position Overview***

We are looking for energetic, friendly, communicative, outgoing, extroverted, welcom and responsible volunteers to join our team as Experience Leaders.
Your role is not typical—you’ll be the face of fun, connection, and hospitality within the hostel. You will lead daily activities, interact with guests from all over the world, and help create a welcoming environment that feels like home.

***Key Responsibilities***
Lead and participate in group activities such as:
Beach days
Museum and cultural visits
Hiking trips
Sunset outings
Beer pong tournaments
Karaoke nights
Yoga sessions
Social games and community events
Welcome guests and help create connections between travelers
Promote hostel activities and encourage guest participation
Support the smooth organization of daily events
Represent El Misti with energy, warmth, and professionalism

***What We’re Looking For***

Previous hostel experience is a plus but not required

Nightly Events: Plan, organize, and promote nightly events and parties at the hostel.
Guest Interaction: Engage with guests, promote events, and ensure they are having a great time.
Event Coordination: Collaborate with local venues and artists to create unique event experiences.
Setup and Cleanup: Assist with the setup and cleanup of events, ensuring everything runs smoothly.

Assist with event planning and promotion during the day as needed
Engage with guests and participate in hostel activities to foster a sense of community
