Incredibly thoughtful and considerate gentleman who treats both guests and staff with great care. My work was light and the hours were well-defined, giving me plenty of free time to explore. The guesthouse is in a great location, just a five-minute walk from the station and close to Hakuba Village, making it perfect for day trips to ski. During my three weeks here, I met many interesting travelers from all over the world and gained a deeper understanding of Matsumoto. Thank you for your warm hospitality! Wishing you and your family all the best!hope to see you agian!

Matsumoto is a nice town with always something going on and ofc a lot to do around, especially if you enjoy hiking! Brian is really friendly and always trying to give you the best Japan experience. The work is also decent, about 4h a day with 2 days off on average. The hostel are 2 buildings, one close to the station and the other in the middle of the city.

The hostel is a great place to stay and volunteer. The owners Brien and Shuko are so kind, and always in a good mood. They make you feel at home from the very first moment. The hostel is a family hostel, so you and the guests enjoy the time together, you never feel alone. And Matsumoto city, despite being a small city, it has many interesting places to visit, apart from the amazing castle, so you definitely won't get bored. I would love to go back some day, as it was a highlight in my trip to Japan :)
