My time in the hostel was amazing. Kate and Tim are always available to talk and they made me feel like home. I learned new skills and enjoyed working with everybody. The common areas are the perfect place to talk with the guests, practice English and share cultural interests. I recommend the hostel because is a very friendly environment to work in, and the hostel is located only 15 min by bus from City Centre.

I had an incredible experience in this volunteer position. The atmosphere was very welcoming, and I felt respected from the very first moment. The work was well-organized, and the working hours were always respected, which is very important. The cleaning tasks were simple, and the manager was always willing to help, making everything easier, and is also very flexible. I had the opportunity to practice my English in a real environment, which made my learning much more dynamic and useful, helping me improve my fluency. The hostel is a 50-minute walk from the city center. Thank you Tim.

Tim is a super friendly & hospitable host! The tasks were super easy. The hostel is clean, cosy & well equipped. The area is very safe to walk at night! Come to practice your communication/ management skills in different situations & experience life in UK (outside London)! You will be rewarded for pushing yourself to interact with different guests from different walks of life and around the world :) I will miss of Liverpool: Hostel bar, 6am jog & sunrises at Stanley Park; Walker Art Gallery; Picton Reading Room; MATCH DAY VIBES \o/ ; the City under sunshine, sunsets at The Docks <3

I had a great month here. The cleaning work is easy but hard if there is only one person on shift, but when there are more volunteers it becomes easier. The work schedule is respected and when the cleaning service is finished, we stay in a common area to welcome or help guests. Tim always emphasizes the importance of interacting and being friendly with guests. This ended up helping me both to improve my English and to open up to talk and meet new people. I recommend the hostel to anyone who is always willing to help, interact and work hard.

I had an enjoyable time at The Hostel. Thoroughly enjoyed my time here, although it passed extremely fast, one blink and it was over. The month went so quick. They say time goes faster when you enjoy yourself, in this case this is true. The work can be pretty intense and there's a lot of cleaning to do and beds to make. The host insists that all volunteers interact with guests which I did to my best ability. I can recommend this place to any volunteers, however, if you don't do the work and don't contribute you would be asked to leave.

My experience at the hostel was very good. The hostel is lovely, and it's only 10 minutes by bus from the city center. It has several affordable supermarkets, which helps you save money on your groceries Tim is an excellent host; he frequently checks in to see if you need anything. It's a great place to improve your English since you're constantly meeting people from different parts of the world. The city offers various activities. In addition to places related to The Beatles, like the Royal Albert Dock, and nearby cities such as Manchester.

I enjoyed my time at the hostel. Tim is nice and Sally, his dog, is very cute. The schedule is clear, tasks are not too hard and explained well. The volunteer room is comfortable and the other volunteers while I was there were lovely. It's about 15-20 min by bike or bus from the center and you have time to explore the city and surrounding area. Thanks for a nice time!

I had a great time at the hostel! Tim and his family are so caring and kind, always concerned about the well-being of both volunteers and guests. You can learn a lot about good hospitality and engaging with people from Tim by observing how he welcomes guests and makes them feel at home, which is truly admirable. As for the work, it involves welcoming guests, socializing, being friendly and helping with their needs. There's also quite a bit of cleaning, but they always try to pair up volunteers to make it easier and faster. Plus, you have plenty of free time to explore Liverpool and nearby cities.

It was my first time volunteering and I had an incredible experience here. Tim and his family make you feel very welcome at the hostel and will always make sure you are comfortable. The work is light and you're shown what to do. Communication is very important here, so you need to be comfortable speaking English. But the great thing about Liverpool is the people are very nice and very chatty, so it's super easy to speak to people. I met some amazing people during my time here, that I will cherish forever. If you want to visit the north west of England this is the perfect place to volunteer.
