The experience

Support our team by helping with daily housekeeping tasks such as changing beds, cleaning bathrooms, and keeping common areas tidy. You’ll also assist with check-ins, check-outs, and answering guest questions to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience.

Basic to advanced English skills are required.

What you offer

24 hours of help per week

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.

What you get

1 day off per week

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Requirements

Intermediate English or Intermediate Spanish

Between 24 and 35 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Program Details

Join our hostel team and help us create a clean, welcoming space for travellers from around the world! Volunteers support us with daily housekeeping tasks like changing beds, cleaning bathrooms, and keeping common areas tidy. You’ll also assist with check-ins, check-outs, and guest questions—making sure everyone feels at home.
We ask for up to 24 hours of help per week, with one day off, and in return we offer:
• A bed in our team dorm
• Free Wi-Fi
• Towels and kitchen facilities
• Free laundry service
• Free breakfast
It’s a great way to meet people, learn how a hostel runs, and enjoy a friendly team vibe while exploring the city.

Activities & Shift

You’ll be assigned for one of the shifts below.

• 10:30 AM – 3:00 PM: Housekeeping – changing beds, cleaning bathrooms, and tidying common areas

• 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM: General checks every hour or two – bathrooms, kitchen, room bins, and guest support if needed.

Rules

House Rules – The Pod Hostel

- 🚭 **No smoking or vaping** anywhere on the premises.
- 🔕 **Quiet hours** are observed from **10:00 PM to 8:00 AM** to ensure a restful environment.
- 🚪 **Access is strictly limited** to staff and guests with a valid reservation.
- 🚫 **No trespassing**—unauthorized entry is not permitted under any circumstances.
