Staying at the farm made me grow as a person. It provided the right amount of challenge and physical exercise but also absolutely beautiful scenery. Being one with nature and surrounded by wildlife it was much more rewarding than actually visiting a national park ;) I would recommend this experience to all who love nature and like a good savage and authentic local farm experience.

In all together, the farm has a nice atmosphere, in the middle of the nature, and the volunteers were also nice, just the only thing was for me that everyone was a perfect spanish speaker - except me- and there were either couples or 3 girls all the time together so i was the only solo traveller there and felt a bit outsider. The tasks were not told to me, even i asked before i got there. The work i got was quite hard physical work, and not always felt fair as the jobs were given among the volunteers. But otherwise its a good experience, if u want to know more, write me in mail :)

This was a good experience due to the people we met there who are great! The work was clearly set out each day which was good &if it rained (which it did a lot) we stopped whatever work we was doing which was fair. You are told that there is snakes &spiders which can kill you &then told to rake them so if you are easily scared I would not bother! The chill out area was amazing with lots of hammocks & good place to do yoga. There may be paying guests there who get priority for the cooking which is fair enough but if you are hungry &want to cook you may be waiting a while but Emilio did help us

My experience at the farm was much like the high rated reviews. You can really dive deep into nature and be connected with Mother Earth very easily. The international friends I made at this farm are unforgettable and I truly believe I will be connected with them the rest of my life. Tasks were simple: raking, chicken coop care, watering plants, taking care of the pig, sweeping, chopping wood. Hardest task was hiking half a mile in the jungle and carrying large pieces of wood multiple times per day. Food isn't included, you have to pay for meals, but it's the best food I had in Costa Rica!

The most beautiful jungle didn't learn how to farm or gain any new farm knowledge with plants the food was so amazing but you do pay $6 for breakfast and $7 for lunch and dinner perfect place for exploring and spiritual development the town has great snorkeling on the island thank you for such an amazing stay !!!!Pura Vida🫶🌊

The other reviews are very accurate. I'd just like to add that they don't give you any food besides bananas and 2 eggs a day, and they don't give you any tours either (which are supposed to be included). I didn't like the vibe. A lot of people arrived and left right away, because the place wasn't welcoming at all. I only liked that you're very in touch with nature. I was looking for a wellness kind of vibe, so I only truly connected with Neyer (he's great). Wouldn't recommend. There are many other awesome options to connect with nature in the area!

I would recommend this place if you enjoy a lot being in nature and can actually appreciate it's savageness with everything that comes along with it. You cannot expect the same comfort you would have in a hotel but a very peaceful and exotic place- so peaceful that it felt like in exchange your own thoughts become much more present and louder since they are not overrun by other distractive noises and actions. But I would highly recommend to bring plactic bags to protect your important things from growing mold ( in rainy season) and long socks to not get rashes from the rainboots and a torch!

Really loved the experience of living in the jungle close to Corcovado. Elmer's cooking will be the best food I'll have in Costa Rica for sure, and Neier is such a gem as he really elevated the experience of living in a jungle amongst Costa Rican wildlife. Do be aware! This experience is not for everyone. We arrived at the end of rainy season, so everything was humid, our clothes but also linen. ALSO. they give you boots to cross the river to get to the farm, so best bring long socks (and bandaids) to protect your legs and feet from chafing. It might be challenging for some, but so worth it!!

I was travelling across Costa Rica until I wanted to settle down for a few weeks. I found Rio Aguivitas messaged them and within a day they got back to me saying arrive whenever suits me. After staying for 3 weeks I was able to get involved in so much including: machete's clearance, making sugar Caine juices, tubing down the river, planting pineapples, exploring the jungle, birdwatching, animal spotting, chicken work, having fun with other volunteers and enjoying Elmeirs top tier food✅ Will be visiting again and would recommend

I really enjoyed my time at the farm. If you don't speak Spanish I advise you to learn a bit beforehand, so you are able to talk to the locals (they are so friendly). The work was what I expected, gardening and taking care of the chickens. You can find true friendship in the other volunteers, since you do everything together from working to exploring the nature. You have to pay for the food but it was worth it, Elmer is a fantastic cook! Clothes will get dirty, things won't dry easily during the rainy season. But the simple living conditions make the place special and a whole adventure.🌿
