This place does not respect anything that is offered on Worldparckers. I'm just being honest. They made me feel like an exploited worker, not a volunteer. Whatch out guys

This was my first world packers experience and it was a lot of fun! The people were welcoming even though I didn't speak much Spanish and some volunteers didn't speak much English. I liked that we could ask for specific days off so that we had time to travel. The place wasn't the best so you have to be kinda down to earth to do this but overall I had a lot of fun!

My stay at the hostel was really good! I met some great people. The team is very welcoming and friendly I loved everyone there and had a good time. I worked as a bartender and was allowed to help myself to drinks on shift, you can also keep your tips. The only downside is that there is only one bartender in an evening so when it gets busy you can get swapped. The only reason I had to give it a 4 star and not a 5 is down to the overall living situation. It was quite messy and we didn't have a cleaner for the volunteers. The kitchen is very small and beds are a little uncomfortable.

The volunteers I encountered here were the most kind, generous & patient people I've ever met. After only half a week I felt like family. The volunteers make this place what it is! Now as for the actual hostel, accommodation, and workload. The pictures are deceiving, being almost 10 yrs old, nothing looks the same. If you're reception be ready to have the most labor-intensive JOB, because at some points it didn't feel like volunteering. If you're looking for an equal exchange id pass. There's so much room for improvement here & as i was leaving they were in the works of big changes.

This was our first volunteer experience, it's been memorable for sure! The people are what make this experience great. I've made friends from all over the world, everyone was so kind and we very quickly felt like a family. Jeannette and Alo are amazing managers and show so much love to the volunteers. Although my experience and the people were amazing, the hostel itself had its downsides: My biggest issue is that the accommodations do not match the amount of work we do on our shifts. This easily felt like a full time job with a bad sleeping environment. We had fun but 3 weeks was our maximum

The kitchen area was never available and there was no fridge space to put anything. The laundry was also only available from 1 am to 9 am and the machines would turn off and leave things unwashed. On top of that Alo and Janette left me hanging during training after not explaining things. They were also rude and impatient any time I asked for them to repeat something since Spanish isn't my first language. IThey were also asking about my personal affairs in a nosy and judgmental way and not at all tryi mg to get to know me. They would also complain if people took a small break during the 8 hr

In all honesty, I was a bit disappointed. The rooms for the volunteers were ok. Unfortunately there were two managers who were extremely unprofessional, rude, unwelcoming not only towards the volunteers but to the guests and always had an attitude. They were talking shit about everyone, it was not very homey. On the plus side, Samantha and Daniel were amazing. Super welcoming, always saying thank you and going out of their way to help you out. Other than that, the place needs to be more organized. There's a lot of room for improvement.

It was a really nice experience, I got to know so many nice people! The work is definitely okay, you only have to work 4,5 hours and have a lot of time to explore Cancùn and the area. Would 100% recommend!

The experience was great. If I had to choose one thing that I liked the most, it's definitely the group that I was part of during my stay. My advice to other travellers and volunteers is: get committed to what you're doing, and you'll enjoy more and more every time. The place, the day to day living, the tasks to be done, all is align to what you expect to have when arriving at a hostel. Host provides basic foods, tasks were as arranged previously, and as shown in the description here as well. I had an amazing month, and I say thanks to all the Kabeh Family, the staff and managers!
