Program Details
Our volunteer program is currently 28 hours a week in exchange for accommodation, unlimited basic food (rice, pasta, beans, lentils, oats, and pancake flour), fresh fruit, and discounts at our bar and restaurant.
For the cook position, we ask 28 hours a week (6x 4:40 hours) in exchange for the above. You'll be preparing bar snacks and dinner for our clients and staff members, buy few ingredients at the super market, and keep the kitchen clean and organized during your shift.
You'll work from Monday to Saturday, and have Sunday off.
In order to maintain good communication, we have a mandatory staff meeting every Monday to discuss any changes and anything the team has excelled at or might have to work on.
This a volunteer position, but extra income can be made from tips and extra shifts when available.

Rules
We are NOT a drug-friendly Hostel. Getting shitfaced is A-Ok, but on the legal stuff only. Anyone found with drugs will be asked to leave immediately.
Upon arrival, for security reasons, you will be expected to leave a deposit of either a valid passport or a valid ID and 100 USD (or 2000 pesos). Either of these will be returned to you upon your departure. Our team always feels at home here, so it’s important to everyone that we maintain a safe working and living environment by knowing exactly who is staying with us at all times and discouraging the possibility of anyone making a quick exit with something that isn’t theirs.
