I really enjoyed my time at the hostel! The town of Nijmegen was very cute and a great place to explore (really enjoyed the sunny days by the river) & got close with the other volunteers. Junior & Erik were great hosts and were very welcoming and helpful. I will say this is quite a bit of work in comparison to my other Worldpackers experiences as most of the staff is comprised of volunteers. However, it is balanced with the three days off and it allows you to take short trips to surrounding areas. Would recommend coming in July for the 7 day festival!

It was a very good experience, it is a city in the interior of the Netherlands that has very good infrastructure. I worked as a night shift, the hours were a bit busy and I couldn't enjoy the city on the weekends. However, the flexibility allowed me to work remotely for another job despite the internet not being very good. Another point of attention was that there was a lot of Brazilian language, which hindered my plan to practice English a little.

Thank you for you feedback Igor.

We are surprised by your remark about the internet, since we have the fastest connection available. We will get them to come by and check it.

We agree with the language feedback and will make sure to keep a better mix in the future.

Thanks again for your help Igor!

I really enjoyed the experience at this hostel. The structure is great, well located, you can have contact with the owner and resolve any problems you have directly with him, if necessary. Tasks are detailed in the Trello app so you know everything that needs to be done. The breakfast is plentiful, we send a list of what we need and the owner buys everything except meats like ham. The hostel has two floors, 13 rooms, 4 toilettes and 5 showers so there is a lot to clean and cleaning is taken seriously. The city is a little expensive, especially public transport, so be prepared

It was my first experience and I just have to thank Joep and Barbarosa for giving me the opportunity to get to know a new country, connect me to a new culture and people. Joep is always attentive and does everything to keep us well and always open to suggestions, the hostel is super well located and comfortable.

I spent one of the best months of my life there, making new friends and exploring the city. Nijmegen is a really nice city where you can do everything by bike. The job was easy to learn, and the schedule was always respected. Joep and the new manager, Erick, are really good people who are constantly worried about how we are feeling and want the volunteers to have the best experience. They were flexible with all my requests to change days off and dates, allowing me and my girlfriend to travel around. In summary, I highly recommend the hostel after I had the best times there! =D

My experience in the hostel was unforgettable! It was far more special than I could ever imagine. Joep, the owner, is very friendly and flexible. Every time I asked for a favor he would do his best to try to guarantee it. In my first week there, he showed me the city to welcome me. The workload is reasonable, and Joep ensures you never work more than the agreed-upon hours. He consistently checks in to make sure you're enjoying your time there. The friends I made there will stay forever in my heart!! Nijmegen has left me with the most beautiful memories and I have a lot of gratitude <3

The month I spent in the hostel is an experience I will never forget. The job is divided among the volunteers and it consists of the morning check-out/cleaning shift and the afternoon check-in shift. Joep is an amazing host, always checking up on volunteers to make sure they are comfortable and that they have everything they need. From the first moment I felt at home and I have made wonderful friendships that I will treasure for life.

This was my first Worldpackers experience and I couldn't have asked for a better one. The hostel has a very good structure, the rooms, kitchen and other common areas are very comfortable and have everything you might need. Joep is very chill and sociable host. He's always in prompt to help you in whatever you need. The working hours are respected and we also have our 3 days off in a row, so that helps if you want to travel to other places. Nijmegen is a very special city and definitely have a place in my heart. Looking forward to go back in a near future :)

This was my first volunteer experience and it was absolutely worth it! The hostel is well located and Nijmegen is a very nice city. And you will have enough free time to explore other cities in the Netherlands as well :) The shifts were not that difficult, except on particularly busy days. Joep is a great host, always available for information and to give you tips and suggestions to make the most of your free time. This experience is perfect if you want to meet people from all over the world and if you want to improve your English. I would recommend it to anyone!

Amazing experience! It was my first time volunteering and I had a really good time. This city deserves a try, there's always something going on. I had a lot of free time to enjoy my stay at its best. The shifts weren't difficult at all. Sometimes in busy days the cleaning might be a bit tiring but the other volunteers were always willing to help. Joep is a great host, always available for every unexpected situation. I learned a lot about life during this month and I hope that many people will have my same opportunity!
