I had such a lovely stay at Ponte Pedra :) They have an the hotel place - it's so peaceful and beautiful! Everyone was so welcoming and friendly, the accommodation was perfect and the food was delicious & plentiful! The work hours were respected and I found the work really rewarding and easy to get on with. Overall I feel extremely grateful for this exchange and experience. Chilling by the pool, chatting with other volunteers/workers and visiting nearby beaches made great memories! It's a stunning part of the country and I couldn't recommend volunteering here more!

I had such an the hotel time here. From the moment Jorge picked me up with a warm smile, I felt truly welcomed, and everyone I met was so kind. The place itself is incredibly cozy, a perfect spot to step away from a busy schedule and enjoy the quiet, simple life in the countryside. Working hours are respected, the food is great and the overall experience is wonderful. Ana and Jorge have created something truly special here.

Highly recommend this experience! I spent a month at Ponte Pedra, and wished I had of stayed longer. Ana and Jorge are such wonderful hosts, always very warm and welcoming. The work is very fair and the bikes are a great addition to get around, to the beach and nearby towns. They are very committed to sustainability and it was rewarding to learn new ways to be more environmentally conscious. Ponte pedra has a special place in my heart, I hope I get the opportunity to return very soon!

As all the other reviews tend to say, you can't beat volunteering here! You hungry? Volunteers don't know the meaning of that word here! You want to socialise? All the staff will happily talk on any subject, the other volunteers too, and if you want your space, everybody understands. There's plenty of exploring to do from castles to beaches, bird watching to paddle tennis, cycling through beautiful landscapes or sunbathing by the pool. Don't ask any more questions, just apply and pray you get accepted.

Ana and Jorge are kind and generous hosts who are worth getting to know. The environment they've created is incredibly warm and welcoming, the work and hours are fair, living conditions provide all that you need, although the nights can be a bit cold, they have plenty of blankets and will always try to accommodate if there is a problem. Outside of work, they welcome you to use the bikes to go the short 25 min to the beach or will offer to drive if they're headed into town. I highly recommend this experience!

I loved my time at Ponte Pedra. Ana and Jorge are really kind and interesting people, they provide bikes for the volunteers to visit the local beaches and towns in your free time, and are generous with taking you to the bus station if you want to visit other places on your days off. The surrounding landscape is beautiful and I think it's a unique chance to experience rural the hotel. The work will keep you busy but it's straightforward and hours/days off are respected. Obrigada :)
