The experience

In Korea, many children want to be good at English, and I also want to improve my English.
I am applying because I would like my child to learn English in a warm and natural way—not as a subject to study, but as a living language.

When I couldn’t speak English at all, I spent one year in Australia living in a shared house with friends, and that is how I learned English.

What you offer

18 hours of help per week

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.


What you get

3 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Requirements

Fluent English or Intermediate Korean

Between 20 and 35 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Be from outside South Korea

Program Details

This program is designed for a 10-year-old child to learn English naturally through daily life and structured activities. We are looking for a mentor who can live as a family member and help the child gain confidence in speaking English.


Activities & Shift

Tutoring Sessions: 2 hours of focused English lessons (reading, speaking, or homework help) on weekdays.


Rules

English-Only Policy: Please speak only in English when interacting with the child to provide an immersive environment.

Curfew: For the safety and rest of the family, please return home by 11:00 PM on weekdays.

No Visitors: To protect the child’s privacy, outside guests are not allowed in the house without prior notice.

Device Usage: Please limit personal smartphone use during tutoring hours to focus on the child.
