Buwenge Shared Hope Ministry (BSHM)

Buwenge Shared Hope Ministry is a community-based organization committed to restoring hope among orphans, vulnerable children, youth, and women. We invite compassionate and committed individuals to volunteer with us and make a lasting impact.


What you offer

18 hours of help per week

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Elderly Care: Assisting and spending time with the elderly.

Child Care: Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.


What you get

2 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Program Details


Buwenge Shared Hope Ministry is a community-based, faith-driven organization established in 2020 to restore hope and dignity among orphans, vulnerable children, youth, and women in Uganda.

Our programs are designed to address spiritual, educational, social, and economic needs by providing care, empowerment, and practical life skills that enable individuals and families to become self-reliant and productive members of society.

Program Focus Areas

1. Orphans and Vulnerable Children Support
We provide care, protection, feeding, education support, counseling, and spiritual guidance to orphans and vulnerable children to ensure their holistic growth and well-being.

2. Education Support & Skills Development
We support access to education through school assistance, learning support, and mentorship programs. We also provide vocational and life-skills training to prepare youth for sustainable livelihoods.

3. Youth Empowerment Programs
Our youth programs focus on leadership development, moral guidance, entrepreneurship skills, and community engagement to help young people discover purpose and build a hopeful future.

4. Women Empowerment Initiatives
We empower women through skills training, income-generating activities, mentorship, and group support to enhance self-reliance and family stability.

5. Community Outreach & Spiritual Support
We engage communities through outreach programs, counseling, and faith-based activities that promote unity, compassion, and positive values.
