The experience

RisingSunPlc vet internship and volunteer placement program places you with licensed vets in clinics and outreach settings around Accra and nearby communities.

Volunteers assist at a veterinary hospital and participate in general animal care and rescue tasks — including supporting vets and nurses.

Helping with treatment, diagnostics, and preventative care gaining hands-on experience in a clinical environment.

What you offer

30 hours of help per week

Animal Care: Help look after and take care of animals.

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 30 Per day

Fee pays for: Materials for volunteer activities and Donation to project

Description: Volunteers contribute $30 USD a day to cover expenses for : Airport Pick - Up and Drop - Off Accommodation, Breakfast and Dinner, Orientation, Project Development, SIM cards - that are to be handed over to the team after projects are completed Free wifi , welcome package 24 hour guidance and support , administrative fees.

What you get

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Tours: Get discounts for tours and excursions around town.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

RisingSunPlc focuses on free veterinary care, rabies vaccinations, community education, and outreach in underserved communities across Ghana.

We regularly organize mass vaccination drives and educational campaigns, and invite volunteers, vets, and animal lovers to support their work.
