The experience

Help out on our family-run organic market garden with hands-on tasks like cultivating, planting, weeding, harvesting, mowing and whippersnipping 🌾🛠️. Work outdoors, learn practical gardening skills, and be part of a welcoming farm environment 🤍
In your free time, explore nearby beaches 🏖️, waterfalls 💦 and bushwalking tracks 🌿.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

What you get

2 days off per week

Tent: You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Requirements

Intermediate English

Between 18 and 55 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Program Details

Volunteers join our team and work along side our full time and part time workers.
We start work at 7am
Break for breakfast at approx 9:30am
Back to work at 10:30 am
Your day finishes at 1pm
Spend the rest of your time exploring the region. Occasionally we may need adjust this schedule due to heat or rain.

Activities & Shift

Daily activities will vary according to season and needs.
Work will be varied but may include:
• Cultivating garden beds
• Planting, weeding, and harvesting vegetables
• Mowing and whippersnipping
• General garden maintenance and tidy-ups
• Helping with all other garden activities as needed

Rules

This is real farm work — rewarding, practical, and sometimes muddy, hot or cold. You don’t need prior farming experience, but you do need a good attitude, a willingness to learn, and a reasonable level of fitness. If you enjoy working outdoors, following instructions, and seeing the results of your effort at the end of the day, you’ll fit in well here.
We are Seventh-Day Adventist Christians therefore, every Sabbath is a free day.
All good will be vegetarian, unless you self cater.
We are an alcohol & drug free property.
