Live-In Nanny at Oceanview Villa

The experience

Hi! We're busy American entrepreneurs who travel back and forth between our EcoRetreat in the stunning north shore of the Dominican Republic. Usually grandparents fill in to watch the kids for us so we can travel for work, but we have a last-minute need for a responsible, self-driven, adventurous soul to stay with our kiddos and enjoy this luxurious Caribbean lifestyle!

What you offer

5 hours of help per day

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

Child Care: Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Cooking: Choose the menu, pick ingredients and cook delicious dishes.

What you get

1 day off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Parties: Get free entrance for the best parties in town.

Free Events: Get free entrance for the best events in town.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Dedicated Workspace: Specific space for you to work remotely

Program Details

This one is not a program, but a short term need from EcoRetreat owners! (There may also be opportunity for you to Collab with ZARIA EcoRetreat if you have the right skills to offer). The job looks essentially like being a nanny / household manager - prepping the kids for school (breakfast, snacks, go bags), driving them to school, enjoying your free time off during the school day, then helping with homework, doing dinner/cleanup, and maybe some fun time like board games and reading before bedtime! 4BR Oceanview Villa provided, a car to use. All food and use of the marina amenities (pools, gym, etc) are included.

Activities & Shift

It's a split shift during school days (breakfast, drive them to school in our car - no Dominican license needed), and enjoy the entire day to work or play!! They get dropped at 4 and evening shift begins. Fridays are homeschool days and Sat/Sun the kids are in and out, running around with friends at the marina - so you'll be around, but can lounge in our private Oceanview infinity pool, go meet some people at the marina, go hiking, etc

The kids are a 14 year old girl (she's SO helpful and responsible, she could run the show by herself if she could drive!), a sweet and pretty clueless 11yo boy, and a sweet-as-candy 7 year old who wants snuggles and play time non-stop.

Rules

Need someone who can drive (no Dominican license necessary) ... would prefer no smoking, light or no drinking, no drugs of course. An introduction Video and referrals are necessary. PLEASE NOTE: the photos shown are for our EcoHotel/Retreat about 25 minutes away (we have a full, nice staff to help you as necessary!) as they woulnd't let me post different photos for this position, which occurs at the Bannister Hotel & Marina in Samana, DR. (check for pics online if you'd like!)
