The experience

We’re Diane & Nicholas, French-Italian entrepreneurs creating a beach house in Fontane Bianche - Syracuse.
We are looking for a couple or a duo of friends to volunteer with us for the opening of our B&B in Fontane Bianche, Sicily, at the beginning of the season.
👉 Applications are open ONLY to couples or duos (no solo applicants).
🔧We’re searching for people who are Hands-on, practical, and motivated & Comfortable with small manual tasks

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Arts: Help with painting, graffiti, sculpting or drawing.

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Program Details

We are looking for a couple or a duo of friends to help us prepare and open our B&B in Fontane Bianche, Sicily, at the beginning of the season.

As a Worldpacker with us, you will support the project through hands-on, practical tasks such as painting, assembling new furniture, light maintenance, gardening, and general preparation of the house and outdoor areas. The work is simple but physical, and we expect volunteers to be motivated, reliable, and comfortable with manual tasks.

Volunteers usually help 4–5 hours per day, mainly in the mornings. Afternoons are free to enjoy the beach, explore the region, or relax. We offer accommodation, a welcoming atmosphere, and the opportunity to experience real Sicilian daily life in a calm seaside environment.

This position is only open to couples or close friends duos who are happy to work and live together, share responsibilities, and communicate openly. In return, we offer a respectful exchange, flexibility, and a meaningful experience by the sea.

Daily activities may include:
- Painting and small touch-up work
- Assembling new furniture
- Light maintenance and minor repairs
- Gardening and outdoor maintenance (watering, cleaning, basic care)
- Moving furniture and preparing rooms and common areas

Tasks vary depending on the day and project needs, but all activities are practical and hands-on.

Shifts & schedule:
- 4–5 hours per day, usually in the morning
- Days off and schedule can be discussed together
- Work hours are flexible and adapted to weather and progress

Rules

- Visits inside the property are subject to prior approval from the management
- Smoking is not allowed inside the house
- No drugs are allowed on the property
- Alcohol is not permitted during working hours
- Being drunk or visibly intoxicated in front of guests is not acceptable
- If a volunteer is under daily medication or has physical or mental health conditions that could impact daily life or work, we kindly ask to be informed in advance, in order to ensure everyone’s safety and wellbeing

These rules are in place to protect both the volunteers and our guests, and to maintain a respectful, professional and welcoming atmosphere.
