The experience

We are welcoming volunteers to hep with simple tasks at a small homestay in the central highlands of Vietnam. Tasks include: changing bed linens, watering the garden, tidying up communal areas and welcoming guests.

The tasks can be done in the afternoon or early evening and we are quite flexible with your schedule.

You will have plenty of free time to relax in our homestay, surrounded by coffee trees and just a few hundred metres from a lake.


What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Night Shift: Help with night shift tasks and create a relaxing environment for guests.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.


What you get

1 day off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Restaurants: Get discounts at nearby restaurants.

Discounts on Pubs: Get discounts at nearby pubs.

Discounts on Drinks: Get discounts for drinks and beverages from our bar.

Discounts on Tours: Get discounts for tours and excursions around town.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely


Requirements

Intermediate English

Between 18 and 35 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Program Details

The homestay is run by myself and my wife. It's a small homestay that welcomes a mix of local and international guests whom we love to show around Pleiku as it's a lesser known destination in Vietnam. The homestay is surrounded by coffee trees and next to a large lake. Guests often enjoying visiting many of the unique attractions around the homestay including, lakes, tea and coffee plantations, mountains, farms and a volcano.


Activities & Shift

Most days you will be free to relax or explore the area during the day and will only be needed in the late afternoon and early evening. At night, we have a rooftop bar/kitchen and are passionate bartenders, so if you have any interest in learning about modern Vietnamese cocktails, we'd love to teach you!
