The experience

We are a small, animal-friendly backpacker hostel in Nepal that rescues and cares for stray dogs. Volunteers help with simple hostel tasks like cleaning, guest support, and dog care, while sharing culture, stories, and a family-like environment with travelers from around the world.

What you offer

20 hours of help per week

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Animal Care: Help look after and take care of animals.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

What you get

2 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Requirements

Fluent English or Fluent English

Between 18 and 80 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

Our hostel is a small, animal-friendly space in Nepal where backpackers feel at home and rescued dogs are given love and safety. This programme is for travelers who enjoy simple living, cultural exchange, and helping animals.
Volunteers will support daily hostel activities such as cleaning common areas, helping guests, and assisting with basic dog care like feeding and spending time with our rescued dogs. The work is easy and shared as a team, and we value kindness, responsibility, and positive energy.
In exchange, volunteers receive free accommodation, meals, and the chance to live in a warm, family-like environment. This experience is about connection — with people, animals, and local culture — rather than luxury.
We welcome open-minded, animal-loving volunteers who want to contribute, learn, and create meaningful memories while staying in Nepal.

Activities & Shift

Cleaning and maintaining common areas and rooms
