The experience

Hi! I’m Serena and, together with my husband Alessandro, we live on a beautiful farm in the heart of Tuscany 🌿. We’re looking for an experienced horse lover to support the daily care of our 5 horses 🐎. Activities include feeding animals, cleaning the stables, riding and training horses (English style). The experience runs from April to October and offers shared accommodation, meals, pool, gym, and authentic countryside life ☀️

What you offer

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Drinks: Get discounts for drinks and beverages from our bar.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Requirements

Intermediate English or Intermediate Italian

Between 18 and 60 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Program Details

We're looking for volunteers from April to October. Candidates who apply for longer periods are given priority.

This experience is ideal for confident riders who already know how to ride English style and enjoy responsible animal care.

During free time, you can enjoy scenic walks, swim in the pool 🏊‍♀️, use the gym, or visit nearby Tuscan art cities.

Activities & Shift

You’ll be part of the daily rhythm of the farm for 5–6 hours per day, 6 days a week.

The day starts at 6:30 am with feeding the animals, cleaning the stables, and riding/training the horses until around 11:30 am.

The rest of the day is free to relax, explore Tuscany, or enjoy the farm facilities.
In the late afternoon, we ask for a short extra moment (about 30 minutes) to feed the animals again — nothing more 🐴

Tasks include:
• Feeding animals (morning and late afternoon)
• Cleaning and maintaining the stables
• Riding and training our 5 horses
• Occasional horse trekking in the surrounding countryside
