The experience

We are looking for a volunteer to help mainly with painting wooden houses (priority task). Garden work is needed only when weather stops painting. Experience with painting is a plus, but not required. We love people who care, work responsibly, and enjoy nature and hands-on tasks. Come join us and have fun while helping!


What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.


What you get

2 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely


Requirements

Intermediate English or Beginner Portuguese

Between 20 and 50 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa


Program Details

Tasks:

Sanding, preparing, and painting wooden structures

Garden work only when weather prevents painting (watering, planting, cleaning, organizing)

Following instructions and collaborating with other volunteers/hosts

Expectations from Volunteers:

- Be responsible, respectful, and attentive to details

- Enjoy hands-on work and being close to nature

- Willingness to learn new skills and follow guidance
- No smoking on the property

What You Will Learn:

Techniques for painting wood and preparing surfaces

Basic garden maintenance and organization

How to work responsibly in a small project team

Working Hours: Flexible, usually 4–6 hours per day, depending on weather and tasks

Rules

No smoking on the property
Respect the space, tools, and materials
Help maintain a calm and clean environment
No pets allowed.
Smoking and the use of alcoholic beverages are not permitted inside the chalets or in enclosed areas.
Volunteers must always leave the accommodation area well-maintained and clean for a pleasant experience, and upon leaving, they must leave the place tidy and clean as they found it.
