Live with & help family with daily life, housework & hosting.
The experience
Join our family in a small Norwegian village and share our daily life, in a friendly home and BnB in a small village surrounded by nature, near Voss (20 minutes) and Bergen (1 hr). Volunteers help with housework, hosting, light maintenance, and other practical tasks that keep the home and BnB running smoothly. This is not a fast-paced, commercial setting, but a lived-in family home, offering cultural exchange, responsibility, and a slower pace.

Program Details
As a volunteer, you’ll join our family in the day-to-day running of our home and BnB. Tasks include:
- Housework and cleaning
- Hosting guests and helping with meals
- Light maintenance, gardening, and general upkeep
- Practical tasks that keep the home and BnB running smoothly
We share responsibilities together, so there’s time to relax, explore the region, hike or try out sports and activities, or just enjoy the surrounding nature.
We welcome volunteers who are responsible, flexible, and enjoy being part of family life. You don’t need prior experience — just a willingness to help, learn, and share in daily routines. This opportunity suits people who appreciate cultural exchange, contributing to a lived-in home, and a slower, meaningful pace.
Rules
• Reliability and honesty are essential; please inform me if plans change
• Stable, positive, and responsible individuals only; we cannot host people with serious personal issues, substance abuse, or violent behavior
• A minimum stay of two weeks is preferred, with longer stays encouraged - with a mutual trial period, of course
