The experience

We are looking for English-speaking volunteers to support a 3-day immersive English experience in Brazil. Volunteers act as monitors, encouraging communication in English through activities, games and conversations. The role includes preparation, immersion and post-experience feedback. Ideal for fluent English speakers who enjoy teaching, facilitating and cultural exchange. Accommodation, meals and certificate included.

What you offer

32 hours of help per week

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.

Program Details

We are looking for English-speaking volunteers to join our team during a 3-day immersive English experience, held in a truly international environment in Brazil.

This is not a traditional hostel volunteering position.
It is an educational and experiential role, where English is lived, practiced and shared in real situations.

ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE

The GoLearn Experience is a 100% immersive English program, designed for intermediate learners (A2–B1) who understand English but struggle to speak with confidence.

During the immersion:

- All communication happens in English
- Participants engage in workshops, group activities and real-life simulations
- The focus is on functional communication, not perfection
- Volunteers will act as monitors and facilitators, supporting participants during activities and contributing to a safe, encouraging and real English-speaking environment.

Activities & Shift

AS A VOLUNTEER, YOU WILL:

- Support students during workshops and group activities
- Encourage communication in English in a natural and respectful way
- Participate actively in games, dynamics and conversations
- Help create a safe space where mistakes are welcome
- Act as a language reference and conversation partner

After the immersion, you will also take part in a post-experience reflection, together with instructors and other monitors, helping to build:

- individual feedback sheets
- personalized roadmaps for each student

This is a collaborative and meaningful role, not just operational support.

Rules

⏰ DURATION & COMMITMENT

Duration: 1 to 2 weeks

Includes: preparation days + immersion days + post-experience work

Availability during the full immersion period is required

🗣️ LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

Native English speaker or Fluent English speaker (C1/C2 level or equivalent)

You must feel comfortable:

- communicating naturally in English
- guiding conversations
- supporting learners with empathy and patience

This role is ideal for someone who:

- Has experience teaching English or other languages (preferred, not mandatory)
- Has experience facilitating or participating in group activities
- Enjoys working with people from different backgrounds
- Is patient, encouraging, and emotionally aware
- Understands that learning happens through experience, not correction overload
