Activities & Shift
As a Reception Volunteer, you’ll be the main point of contact for guests during your shift, handling check-ins and check-outs, including dorm check-ins, answering questions, and supporting daily reception tasks. You’ll help keep common areas clean, organized, and welcoming throughout your shift, while creating a social, friendly atmosphere by greeting guests and introducing travelers to each other.
All volunteers take part in routine checks, such as trash and recycling, bathroom supply inventory, basic AC and safety checks, enforcing house rules, and reporting any issues to the host.
Rules
1- Zero tolerance for harassment
Any form of sexual harassment or disrespect toward guests and/or team members is not tolerated. Complaints are taken seriously and may result in immediate dismissal.
2- Respect, consent, and boundaries
Volunteers must always respect personal boundaries, consent, and cultural differences, both in social situations and shared spaces.
3- Professional behavior at all times
While the hostel is social, volunteers are expected to maintain professional conduct during shifts and in common areas.
