A Helping Hand in the Garden and Vineyard
The experience
Come join our creative community on an ecological farm in Germany! We need helping hands who will work with our team 5 days a week for 5 hours per day. After pruning in the vineyard or planting vegetables in the garden, we all eat a home cooked meal together under the walnut tree. The afternoons are spent relaxing with a gorgeous view of the Alps, or traveling to nearby regions. You are free to develop your creativity here and find new hobbies!

Program Details
Our program asks volunteers for 5 hours per day, 5 days a week. This time is spent working alongside our very friendly and open team. We work together in the vineyard and in the garden pruning vines and harvesting vegetables! In the spring, our saplings are just beginning to grow and we experience the beginning of the new season. In the summer, we enjoy a colorful array of fruits and vegetables. At midday, we all sit under the walnut tree together and enjoy a home-cooked meal made with veggies straight from our garden. You are welcome to experiment with cooking and baking anytime in our fully-stocked kitchen! Once a week one person is responsible for cooking for the team, which is quite fun. In the afternoons, volunteers are welcome to hang out around the farm, start creative projects in our many workshops, explore the region, go swimming, anything you desire! The farm is community supported, so this is the place for you if you want to become part of a wonderful community, learn about ecology and sustainability, practice German, and make new friends! On the weekends we invite our friends from the region and dance the night away in the barn.
Activities & Shift
Volunteers are expected to work 5 days a week for 5 hours a day. Everyone is totally free after lunch! Sundays and Mondays are totally free. We are a short distance from the train station that can take you anywhere. We also have bikes to explore the region and the many lakes.
Rules
We expect everyone to be respectful of others, as we highly value our community! We have a very international team here both permanently living on the farm as well as the volunteers who stay here. We are a vegan/vegetarian farm, so open-mindedness can also be important when coming to a new place! Lucky for us, our volunteers always leave as our new friends.
